Wild Tiger Safari in India

01:48
If your dream is to see a tiger in the wild then your best chance is to visit Ranthambhore National Park in the dry season (just make sure that you book at least 6 months in advance). I can honestly say that the moment I saw my first wild tiger was one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. You need to be patient though as not every safari results in a sighting but that makes it all the more thrilling when you finally see those orange and black stripes. India: Tigers Face Extinction

06:19
United Nations - Every year John Isaac, an Indian-born photographer, travels from New York City in the United States to document the rare Bengal tigers of Rajasthan, India. But with every journey he is more and aware of their precarious fate- factors including loss of land to encroaching human settlements, loss of forest cover due to climate change, and poaching are putting the lives of these magnificent tigers at risk of extinction. WILD TIGERS OF INDIA STORY

07:03
I don't know about you but of all the big animals you see on safari, the one that really fascinates me is the Tiger! They're big, they're beautiful... and when you think about it, they're one most popular animals in the world. They can weigh up to 720 Lbs, and stretch out to 6 feet long. They can easily bring down prey such as deer and can eat up to 60 Lbs of meat in one night! As luck would have it, one of the best places in the world to see wild Tigers is India - and that's where I am. . They have over 30 tiger reserves here and a handful of National Parks that allow tourists in to see the big cats. Today we're in Rathambore National Park... It's one of the biggest in Nothern India. Our guide, B.L., is an expert tracker but can't promise we'll actually see a tiger. In this park there are only 34 tigers. And they live in an area that is over 151 square miles in size. They have two ways to find the cats and the first is by reading their tracks or footprints... B.L. The tracks we can tell sex and etc... and then we have warning sounds... We looked and looked all morning - and despite finding some promising tiger tracks, the only tiger we saw was a cutout replica given to us as a joke by the driver... B.L. said we would have to try again after lunch. BILL ON CAMERA One of the reasons why India has so many tiger preserves is because Tigers are a very close to going extinct. The global population of tigers in the wild is estimated to be less than 4000, down from around 100,000 at the start of the 20th century. The combined effects of humans moving into their habitat, along with worldwide desire for Tiger skins and body parts have dramatically reduced their numbers. Two ways the Indian Government has been able to stabilize the number of Tigers is by creating tiger sanctuaries and developing tiger tourism. With Rothambore's 34 Tigers now supporting over 100 hotels and untold numbers of tour guides, drivers, and others - That way, everyone has a stake in keeping the tigers alive. Later in the afternoon, we're joined by a group of french tourists, and taken to a different area of the park.... It's filled with all sorts of wildlife...Including black face monkeys and these huge deers called Sambar Deers. We also caught sight of an Eagle, some crocodiles, and this really odd creature called a blue bull. Buts as cool as all these animals are, nobody wants to go home without seeing the real prize... About an Hour into our safari, B.L. stopped the jeep after hearing some strange sounds. Our tiger was close, but elluded being seen. Bill: well we didn't see it so we're going back to our original plan. At a rest stop, B.L. went off to talk to some of the soldiers that guard the park. From them he was able to get some solid information on the location of a tiger... "I got a hot tip." We headed up the road to where the soldiers said we would find a tiger. But by the time we got there... it was obvious we weren't the only ones who got the information -- We all sat around staring at each other for awhile... then somebody made a move and it was follow the leader within a matter of minutes, it was a full batalion of tourist vehicles playing follow the leader until at long last, we could all see a wild tiger... It was one of the older females but very impressive. Unfortunately, she didn't seem as enthusiastic to see us as we were to see her... She tried to move away.... but with so many people anxious to get a good picture, It was like an army of paparazi stalking a movie celebrity. Despite all the chaos, I have to say it was really cool seeing a real tiger. BILL ON CAMERA Ok now as you might imagine, there are some people who are demanding an end to tourism in the tiger preserves - allowing the tigers to live a more natural life. But on the other hand, if the tourism stopped and the local people couldn't earn money from it, they would most likely return to poaching the tigers and killing them. So that brings me to the question of the day. If you were in charge of protecting the tigers of India, what would you do? Would you let the tourism continue? Or would you shut it down and try to find another way to save the tigers? Let me know what your plan would be in the comment section, below..... Tigers are also called Big Cats in some places. Tigers are cool no matter what you call them.

Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan - Trekking to the SPECTACULAR Monastery on a Cliff! (Final Day in Bhutan)

18:35
Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan is one of the most famous attractions, and the beauty is mind-blowing! ►Subscribe for more videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe On Day 19 of our food and travel trip to Bhutan, we dedicated the entire day to trekking to Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan (Paro Taktsang in Bhutanese Dzongkha), which sits literally on the edge of a cliff. The hike takes about 3 - 4 hours or so, and since I wanted to beat the main crowds, my wife and I left from the hotel quite early to get a head start. It worked out quite well, because we were some of the only people on the trail that early in the morning. The fresh air was amazing. We wound our way along the trail, and soon we could get amazing views of Tiger’s Nest hidden in the clouds and on the side of the cliff. The trail, although steep, isn’t really dangerous in any parts, as long as you keep your eye on the trail and don’t try to get too close to the edge. At the top of Tiger’s Nest Monastery they don’t allow any photography, so you have to check in your bag. We walked around the monastery for a little while, ate some snacks, and then headed down. Despite Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan being one of the most famous attractions and icons of Bhutan, it really is spectacular. Round-Trip Taxi from Paro to Tiger’s Nest - 1,400 BTN ($20.99) It’s typically recommended that you visit Tiger’s Nest at the end of your trip to Bhutan so that you acclimatize better to the elevation. Gangtey Palace Hotel - After returning from Tiger’s Nest, we checked into the classic Gangtey Palace Hotel for our final night in Bhutan! Disclosure: It was an honor to be invited by MyBhutan to visit Bhutan to explore Bhutanese food and culture. Thank you to MyBhutan Productions for making my trip and this video possible! Ranthambore National Park and Temple! India | Travel Vlog

04:45
Visiting Ranthambore National Park is all about trying to glimpse the famous Tigers! In this India Travel Vlog we take a walk with the monkeys to the temple in the national park, and the following day we take a safari through the National Park. We were honestly really disappointed with the safari as no Tigers were seen and chances of spotting them on the morning tour were slim. We were told the tigers go by the water to drink in the afternoon and we'd gone at a bad time! Keep up with our adventures as we travel the world! Get In Touch! The Royal Bengal Tiger Sunderbans West Bengal India!

01:09
Me, my husband Anirban, my cousin, Soma and another friend, Roshmi, went for a trip to Sunderbans in West Bengal, India last month. The trip was fantastic, it was just a two day trip but we managed to pack in quite a bit . Sunderbans is beautiful...we saw lovely birds ...and we saw the Royal Bengal tiger!!! It is very rare that such a sighting happens! It was an amazing experience. I am sharing the video captured by my husband, Anirban. We were very lucky. It is very sad that the population of such an amazingly handsome creature is on a decline in India. Details of our trip can be found here - http://justaboutev3rything.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-trip-to-sunderbans-west-bengal-jan.html

Ranthambore Safari - Indian Tiger Safari with kids

04:36
We went on a tiger safari in India! One of the main things we wanted to do on our travels in India was to see tigers. The best place in the world to see wild tigers is in Ranthambore National Park. The park is the most successful of all tiger reserves in India. The tiger numbers have been steadily increasing. The Indian tiger, or Bengal tiger, is endangered so we wanted to see them in the wild before there, potentially, driven to extinction. We chose to go to Ranthambore because the chances are best that you'll see tigers there. The national park is home to over 60 tigers and sightings, although not guaranteed, are fairly common. Our evening safari started at 15:00 and we had to be out of the park by 18:00. The cost is fairly high at 3000 rupees per person, for 3 hours of driving around looking for a tiger, especially when paying for 4 people. During our stay in the park we saw numerous deer, a few peacocks, a sloth bear and 2 tigers in the distance. It was a fun day and we're happy we saw what we came for. Check out our next video when we travel to see the Taj Mahal in Agra. Which is located in Bengaluru and about 25kms away from where I stay. We woke up early in the morning to reach there to catch the first Jeep Safari. As the park opens around 9 we were little late and were not able to get one. We had to take the Bus Safari in the hot sun as it was the only option available for both group and family safari. In the safari we were able to see bears, lions, white and bengal tigers which was amazing. After the safari we headed towards the butterfly park and later finished the trip visiting the zoo. You can visit anytime of the year to this place as its managed properly but dont forget to carry cash as no cashless transactions are carried here. I was surprised actually seeing so many animals in the middle of this park in the Silicon Valley of India. Namma Bengaluru is full of wonders to explore i will explore more of the city and get more videos about the place. This video is recorded and rendered in 4k quality using my Gopro. Hope you like that. Please Like and Share with all your friends. A short trip to Sundarban with "Sundarban Tiger Safari" - Part 3

08:40
Before Sudhanyakhali Camp, in the jungle of Pirkhali we saw a tiger slowly entered into the Jungle. All the tourists in boat came to one side and the boat tilted. Within one minute the tiger vanished into the deep woods. We were so excited that none of us photographed the tiger. Still photograph has been taken by Mr. Ashis Dasgupta.
