Deep Blue Sea movie clips: http://j.mp/2jlZ2NR BUY THE MOVIE: http://bit.ly/2jgMx5q Don't miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS: http://bit.ly/1u2y6pr CLIP DESCRIPTION: Susan (Saffron Burrows) and Jim (Stellan Skarsgard) test the brain fluid from the biggest shark with the rest of the team, but unfortunately while celebrating, Jim gets a little too close to the beast. FILM DESCRIPTION: Although mako sharks are among the fastest and deadliest predators in the ocean, they're not as smart as humans -- at least, they weren't. However, Dr. Susan McAlester (Saffron Burrows) has been using mako sharks as her test subjects for research on the regeneration of human brain tissues. McAlester has altered the DNA of several sharks, raising them close to the level of human intelligence; the sharks have also become faster and stronger in the process. While these DNA experiments have yielded fascinating results, they're also of questionable ethics and legality, earning her the distrust of several members of her crew, including shark authority Carter Blake (Thomas Jane and cook "Preacher" Dudley (LL Cool J). The financial backers of these experiments have also expressed skepticism, so when McAlester is ready to perform some major tests, financier Russell Franklin (Samuel L. Jackson) arrives for the occasion. McAlester and her team are delicately extracting brain tissue from one of the altered makos when the animal regains consciousness - and becomes very angry. The shark not only attacks the researchers but also damages the floating lab, leaving the crew aboard a literally sinking ship, with the makos eager to go a few rounds CREDITS: TM & © Warner Bros. In a deeply vulnerable performance, Rachel Weisz plays Hester Collyer, the wife of an upper-class judge (Simon Russell Beale) and a free spirit trapped in a passionless marriage. Her encounter with Freddie Page (Tom Hiddleston), a troubled former Royal Air Force pilot, throws her life in turmoil, as their erotic relationship leaves her emotionally stranded and physically isolated. The film is an adaptation of British playwright Terence Rattigan's 1952 play, featuring one of the greatest roles for an actress in modern theatre. Through flashbacks, Mr. Davies creates memorable cinematic compositions against the backdrop of post-war England. His signature style includes beautiful tracking shots as well as the use of popular music of the day, and here Samuel Barber's majestic Opus for Violin and Orchestra. Besides his two acclaimed semi-autobiographical features Distant Voices, Still Lives and The Long Day Closes, Mr. Davies films include The House of Mirth, The Neon Bible, and his masterful nonfiction exploration of his native city, Liverpool, Of Time and the City.

Shark Bait - Deep Blue Sea FULL SCENE - Sunday Movies

04:55
UNDERWATER MONSTER MONTH!!! Join us for THE FULL 1999 movie! Deep Blue Sea is the property of Warner Bros. #GameGods #SundayMovies #TheMeg Deep Blue Sea is a 1999 American science fiction horror film directed by Renny Harlin. It stars Saffron Burrows, Thomas Jane, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Rapaport, and rapper LL Cool J. Set in an isolated underwater facility, the film follows a team of scientists and their research on mako sharks to help fight Alzheimer's disease. The situation plunges into chaos when multiple genetically engineered sharks go on a rampage and flood the facility. Deep Blue Sea had a budget of $82 million and represented a test for Harlin, who had not made a commercially successful film since Cliffhanger in 1993. The film was primarily shot at Fox Baja Studios in Rosarito, Mexico, where the production team constructed sets above the large water tanks that had been built for James Cameron's 1997 film Titanic. Although Deep Blue Sea features some shots of real sharks, most of the sharks used in the film were either animatronic or computer generated. Trevor Rabin composed the film score; LL Cool J contributed two songs to the film: "Deepest Bluest (Shark's Fin)" and "Say What". Released in theaters during the film industry's summer season, Deep Blue Sea was a moderate commercial success, grossing more than $73 million in the United States and Canada, and $164 million worldwide. The film received generally mixed reviews from critics, who praised its suspense, pacing, and action sequences. Criticism was targeted at its unoriginality and B movie conventions. Retrospectively, Deep Blue Sea has been regarded as a successful shark film, especially within a limited genre that has been dominated by Steven Spielberg's 1975 thriller Jaws. A direct-to-video sequel, Deep Blue Sea 2, was released in 2018. Cast: Saffron Burrows as Susan McAlester Thomas Jane as Carter Blake Samuel L. After an eleven year hiatus from fiction film making Terence Davies, one of Britons most iconic auteurs, returns with characteristic aplomb with a superb adaptation of Terence Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea. Supplementing the plays study of forbidden love and suppressed desire with Davies' renowned visual flair and subtle storytelling, and featuring a remarkable central performance from Rachel Weisz, The Deep Blue Sea is a deeply moving love story with a timeless appeal. Hester Collyer (Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz) leads a privileged life in 1950s London as the beautiful wife of high court judge Sir William Collyer (Simon Russell Beale). To the shock of those around her, she walks out on her marriage to move in with young ex- RAF pilot, Freddie Page (Tom Hiddleston), with whom she has fallen passionately in love. Stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea, what - or whom - should Hester choose? The Deep Blue Sea will be the closing night film of the 55th BFI London Film Festival. It also marks the high point in a year of celebrations for the centenary of Terence Rattigan's birth.
