MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA, SOUTH BEACH MIAMI, MIAMI BEACH

01:14
MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA, SOUTH BEACH MIAMI, MIAMI BEACH, Miami Beach has a tropical climate, more specifically a tropical monsoon climate (Köppen Am),[47] with hot humid summers and warm dry winters. Other than the Florida Keys, Miami Beach has the warmest winter weather in the United States (mainland). The warm and sunny weather in Miami Beach and South Florida attracts millions of travelers from around the world from November through April. Sea surface temperatures range from 74 F in winter to 86 F in the spring/summer/fall months. Miami Beach has the warmest ocean surf in the United States mainland annually. Like much of Florida, there is a marked wet and dry season in Miami Beach. The tropical rainy season runs from May through September, when showers and late day thunderstorms are common. The dry season is from November through April, when few showers, sunshine, and low humidity prevail. The island location of Miami Beach however, creates fewer convective thunderstorms, so Miami Beach receives less rainfall in a given year than neighboring areas such as Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Proximity to the moderating influence of the Atlantic gives Miami Beach lower high temperatures and higher lows than inland areas of Florida. Other than the Florida Keys (and Key West), Miami Beach is the only U.S. city (mainland) to never report snow flurries in its weather history.[48] Miami Beach's location on the Atlantic Ocean, near its confluence with the Gulf of Mexico, make it extraordinarily vulnerable to hurricanes and tropical storms. Though direct strikes from hurricanes are rare (Miami has experienced only two direct hits from major hurricanes in recorded weather history – the 1926 Miami hurricane and Hurricane Cleo in 1964), the area has seen indirect contact from hurricanes Betsy (1965), Inez (1966), Andrew (1992), Irene (1999), Michelle (2001), Katrina (2005), and Wilma (2005). Each December, the City of Miami Beach hosts Art Basel Miami Beach, one of the largest art shows in the United States. Art Basel Miami Beach, the sister event to the Art Basel event held each June in Basel, Switzerland, combines an international selection of top galleries with a program of special exhibitions, parties and crossover events featuring music, film, architecture and design. Exhibition sites are located in the city's Art Deco District, and ancillary events are scattered throughout the greater Miami metropolitan area. Public Transportation in Miami Beach is operated by Miami-Dade Transit (MDT). Along with neighborhoods such as Downtown and Brickell, public transit is heavily used in Miami Beach, and is a vital part of city life. Although Miami Beach has no direct Metrorail stations, numerous Metrobus lines connect to Downtown Miami and Metrorail (i.e., the 'S' bus line). The South Beach Local (SBL) is one of the most heavily used lines in Miami, and connects all major points of South Beach to other major bus lines in the city. Metrobus ridership in Miami Beach is high, with some of the routes such as the L and S being the busiest Metrobus routes.[67] The Airport-Beach Express (Route 150), operated by MDT, is a direct-service bus line that connects Miami International Airport to major points in South Beach. The ride costs $2.65, and runs every 30 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. seven days a week.[68] Bicycling[edit] Since the late 20th century, cycling has grown in popularity in Miami Beach. Due to its dense, urban nature, and pedestrian-friendly streets, many Miami Beach residents get around by bicycle. In March 2011 a public bicycle sharing system named Decobike was launched, one of only a handful of such programs in the United States. The program is operated by a private corporation, Decobike, LLC, but is partnered with the City of Miami Beach in a revenue sharing model.[69] Once fully implemented, the program hopes to have around 1000 bikes accessible from 100 stations throughout Miami Beach, from around 85th Street on the north side of Miami Beach all the way south to South Pointe Park

Best Beaches in Sydney, Australia

04:14
Sydney Australia is famous for its beautiful beaches, so I decided to go find the best beaches that this city has to offer... Here is my list of the Best Beaches in Sydney Australia: BRONTE BEACH My list begins on the southside of Sydney’s incredible coastal walk with a family-friendly place called Bronte Beach. Natural and man-made pools protect you from the dangerous rip known as the Bronte Express. COOGEE BEACH Over Dolphin’s Point, There’s Coogee Beach, which is much larger than Bronte and also safer for swimming. Both Bronte and Coogee are located in really cool neighborhoods with some great places to eat and drink down by the water. CLOVELLY BEACH In between Coogee and Bronte is the concrete and rocky waterfront of Clovelly Beach - its the perfect place to go if you don’t want any sand in your bikini. GORDONS BAY Across Bundock Park is Gordons Bay, which doesn’t have the best beach, but the water is calm and clear so its a really nice spot for snorkeling. PARSLEY BAY I absolutely love the smaller bay beaches towards the top end of the Peninsula, and my personal favorite of all these is a cool little hidden gem called Parsley Bay. It is tucked away within a quiet neighborhood and the shark nets make me feel better about swimming. KUTTIE BEACH Kuttie is another small, quiet spot within a residential area. WATSONS BAY When you're at Watson's Bay, stop by Doyle's for lunch on the water. A completely different vibe here than over between Bondi and Bronte Beach. MILK BEACH For amazing views of Sydney Harbor, follow the path to the small and quiet Milk Beach. TAMARAMA BEACH Back over on the beautiful coastline, the quiet and secluded Tamarama Beach is great place to get away from the crowds of neighboring Coogee and Bondi. Its usually occupied by a laid-back, local crowd with a heavy focus on the top-notch surf break. BONDI BEACH Just around the rocky cliffs, you’ll find one of the most well known beaches in the world… From the iconic Icebergs pool which overlooks the beach, to the abundance of beautiful sunbathers, Bondi is famous for a reason. Popular with international backpackers and tourists, its a place to see and be seen. Especially considering its bikini top optional. Don’t get too distracted though, because There’s tons of beach activities going on, and the waves are a bit more manageable than at other beaches, so its a good place to take your first surf lesson or just go for a swim. If you’re in town for awhile, stay at the Hotel Ravesis right at the beach and check out some of the chill bars and delicious restaurants around the neighborhood. MANLY BEACH If you take the ferry north from Sydney Harbor, you’ll come to Manly Beach - the gateway to the most beautiful stretch of sand in Sydney. Manly itself is the most lively of all the northern beaches, with surf competitions and weekend events, its a very popular place in the summertime. But If you’re looking to break away from the crowds, keep heading north and you’ll find a lot more space in the sand at places like Collaroy beach, Avalon beach, and way up at the top, is Palm Beach. PALM BEACH Palm Beach is Sydney's most northerly stretch of sand, and It sits on a peninsula at the end of Barrenjoey Road, between Pittwater and Broken Bay. Palm Beach is sometimes referred to as 'Palmy' and its a great spot for surfing and sunbathing. Make sure you walk up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse for an amazing view! And If you’ve made it this far, you’ve officially explored some of the best beaches in Sydney! America's Independence! St. Pete Beach

10:20
St. Pete Beach Florida is a beautiful location to celebrate this wonderful holiday. Special thanks to everyone for coming out. The storms rolled in later in the day but we hunkered down and waited them out. The rain gave way to one of the most beautiful sunsets of the season. The fireworks show started shortly after dark around 9:10 In 1776 our founding fathers decided we would no longer be under British rule and on July 4th John Adams Wrote a letter to his wife Abigail: "Today will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more." So far he was right. http://www.primecutpro.com http://www.awesomedocumentary.com

Sea of Stars - Vaadhoo Island, Maldives

02:41
As night falls on certain beaches around the world, the waves glow with an eerie blue light, neon dots that make it look as though stars are washing up on shore. What you’re seeing is actually millions of microscopic organisms called bioluminescent phytoplankton. Some of the most spectacular photographs have been captured from one location, Vaadhoo island, Maldives, which has been nick named the sea of stars. The Maldives is a tropical nation in the Indian Ocean composed of 26 ring-shaped atolls, which are made up of more than 1,000 coral islands. 7 MOST DANGEROUS BEACHES IN THE WORLD

07:05
JELLY GUMMY BEAR► https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2juHk2GAbgAuhMzg5FF0bA Summer is the most wonderful time of the year… for most of us, at least. If you are a summer fan, then you probably like to go to the sea, enjoy the beaches and the tranquility of the coast. Just hearing the world "beach" makes me thing of such many good things: vacation time, the ocean, the thundering of the breakers, seagulls, relax, sharks, currents… Wait, those last two words seem a little out of context, right? Well, that's because people seem to forget that beauty and danger are good old lovers. In today's video we are gonna tell you about some beaches you should stay away from. A visit to these places can harm you or even kill you.

10 Most Dangerous Beaches for Deadly Shark Attacks

03:04
Get more Tips here! www.destinationtips.com Shark attacks seem to be on the rise in many parts of the world, therefore, you might want to steer clear of the following known shark-infested waters. Statistically, these are among the most dangerous beaches for deadly shark attacks. 1. Pernambuco, Brazil The shockingly high attack rate in these waters appears to be due to over-fishing. Without enough food supply, the sharks have begun to sample other forms of fare to satisfy their relentless hunger. 2. Second Beach, South Africa The beach is popular among shark-seeking tourists and cage divers. Tour operators dump boatloads of bloody chum in the water order to entice the great whites. You definitely don’t want to surf or swim anywhere near these boats and their chum lines. 3. New Smyrna Beach, Florida More than 238 shark attacks have been documented at Florida’s (surprisingly) popular New Smyrna Beach. In fact, 15% of worldwide shark bites have occurred here. Most of the bites are courtesy of baby bull sharks that favor these waters. To date, none of the recorded attacks here have been fatal. 4. Velzyland Beach, Hawaii About 41 different shark species that frequent Hawaii’s waters including aggressive specimens like bull sharks and great whites. The last fatal shark attack at this beach occurred in 1994 when a tiger shark attacked a surfer. More recent attacks on surfers have been reported, but none fatal. 5. New South Wales, Australia This region, which includes famous Bondi Beach, has recorded more than 170 unprovoked shark attacks and more than 50 fatal attacks, and great white shark encounters are more common here than in other parts of the world. Due to the position of the continental shelf, swimmers and surfers are in close proximity of deep waters where these potential predators cruise. 6. Fletcher Cove, California Fletcher Cove may be picturesque, but it is also the scene of 142 unprovoked shark attacks, including some recent fatalities. Scientists are convinced that the fish-strewn waters in this region are ideal feeding grounds for large predators like the great white. 7. Reunion Island, Indian Ocean This island has had more than 10 attacks in a recent two-year period, three being fatal. This has prompted island officials to close the beaches to swimmers and surfers. Experts aren’t sure why the sharks are biting people with greater frequency. 8. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Since 2005, there have been more than fifty attacks. In fact, researchers have claimed that South Carolina’s waters are just as dangerous as Florida’s when comparing the swimmer-to-attack ratio. Their waters are attractive to species like tiger sharks and bull sharks. 9. Coffin Bay, Australia The name says it all. Don’t swim here unless you fancy a meeting with a great white. Recently an abalone diver was attacked and killed by two great white sharks. His body was never recovered. 10. Surf Beach, California A nineteen-year-old surfer was attacked and killed a few years ago by a great white shark believed to be 18 feet in length. The waters here are home to seals, which attract great whites in large numbers.

The Beach Boys - Lonely Sea [mono]

02:24
Written by Brian Wilson and Gary Usher, this early Beach Boys masterpiece was actually a holdover from the "Surfin' Safari" [album] sessions. It was first released on the band's second album, "Surfin' USA," almost a year after it was recorded (a virtual lifetime in the world of '60s pop music). The song is presented here in its original, non-headache-inducing mono mix. The Beach Boys "Lonely Sea" (Brian Wilson/Gary Usher) Recorded April 19, 1962 From the album "Surfin' USA" (Capitol, 1963) Producer: Nick Venet

Check out the most dangerous beaches in the world! These shark infested waters will make you never wanna swim in the ocean again! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "Most TERRIFYING Sea Monsters Ever!" video here: https://youtu.be/B9aPB6KB504 Watch our "STRANGEST Things Found In The Ocean!" video here: https://youtu.be/0eRi-vbA2y4 Watch our "Most Amazing Cities Found UNDERWATER!" video here: https://youtu.be/rUqxhYJqGhU List of most dangerous beaches in the world: 9. Gansbaai, South Africa Known as the Great White Shark diving capital of the world, the stretch of water between Gansbaai and Dyer Island in South Africa is also known as "shark alley". These sharks are drawn to the area because of the Colony of 60,000 Cape Fur seals living in and around that small channel of water. Instead of driving people away, the sharks are The main source of tourism in the area. Visitors from all over the world come to go cage diving in order to see these predators up close. If you're up for adventure travel then this would be the perfect vacation for you. Without the cage, it is One of the most dangerous areas to go for a swim in the world. Only because a person swimming might look a lot like a seal. In 2013, a Couple on their honeymoon went on a cage dive and a great white approached, swam right past the bait, fit its head through the bars and thrashed around, trying to get at the couple. It almost killed the groom but, he survived. The near-tragedy Prompted critics to tell people to not cage dive, citing that chumming waters looking for sharks leads to fatalities. 8. Chowpatty Beach, India Chowpatty Beach is both India’s most famous beach and One of the most polluted in the world. Even though the sea is unfit for swimming, every year hundreds of locals celebrate the Hindu festival of Ganesha Chaturthi on the beach. During the festival, it’s a Tradition to wash their idols of Lord Ganapati in the ocean water. Because of the high amount of pollution, celebrants are more likely to Catch nasty diseases like e. coli and hepatitis. The causes of the pollution can be traced to discharge from sewage pipes, waste from storm drains, and open defecation. For a long time the beach itself was Covered in debris and scraps from salvaged ships. In August of 2016, the sands of the beach mysteriously turned black. An oil slick was blamed but the source of the oil was never found. 7. Fraser Island, Australia Fraser Island, off the coast of Australia, is The world's largest sand island. This paradise is extremely popular for camping and ecotourism but before you go, you should be aware of what lurks beneath the sand and sea. Sharks and potentially jellyfish fill the waters around Fraser Island. Rip currents also pose a threat to swimmers and surfers. The beach isn’t much better, either. The island is home to some of the world’s most dangerous spiders, wild dingos and large crocodiles. Spinal injuries are common from visitors careening around the sand dunes on four wheelers. Every year there is a steady stream of accidents. The RACQ CareFlight is a charity-backed service that doesn’t charge its patients for rescue helicopter missions. From 2013-2014 the helicopters flew 64 rescue missions to Fraser Island. During an average summer holiday, 40 to 50 emergency calls are made to paramedics. So far, at least one child has been taken by dingoes on Fraser Island and countless others have been Stung by the Irukandji jellyfish and airlifted out. Before visiting this natural wonderland, just be aware of what dangers you might face. And don't feed the dingos! 6. Island of La Reunion, Indian Ocean This little known gem in the Indian Ocean, 140 miles from Mauritius, is One of the most intriguing spots on Earth. With an active volcano, forests, mountains, and scenic beaches what more could you ask of the tropical paradise? Just don't go in the water. For some reason the waters off La Reunion are One of the most dangerous shark attack spots in the world. While in Mariutius, people are happily swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving, at La Reunion, people barely dip more than a toe in the water because of a fear of shark attacks. Since 2011 there have been 18 shark attacks resulting in 7 casualties. This means that in the past 5 years, 13% of all the world’s fatal shark attacks have occurred on this 40 mile long island. In 2013 Officials placed a ban on swimming and surfing on more than half of the coastline. Before 2011, shark attacks were infrequent and rarely fatal. No one is sure why there are suddenly so many sharks in the area. One victim of the attacks was a 13-year-old up and coming surfer named Elio Canestri in April 2013. He went surfing after leaving a note for his mother, and was caught while surfing in an unmonitored area. Experts say that the Main culprits for the attacks are bull sharks, which are the most aggressive tropical sharks.

THE DEAD SEA, ISRAEL, BEACHES OF ISRAEL, THE DEAD SEA ISRAEL, יִשְׂרָאֵל, NETANYA, BEACH IN NETANYA

24:29
ISRAEL, DEAD SEA IN ISRAEL, נְתַנְיָה, יָם הַמֶּלַח, INCREDIBLE ISRAEL, BEACHES OF ISRAEL, THE DEAD SEA ISRAEL, יִשְׂרָאֵל, The Dead Sea is roughly 8.6 times saltier than the ocean. This salinity makes for a harsh environment in which animals cannot flourish (hence its name). The high salinity prevents macroscopic aquatic organisms such as fish and aquatic plants from living in it, though minuscule quantities of bacteria and microbial fungi are present. The Dead Sea is 67 kilometres (42 mi) long and 18 kilometres (11 mi) wide at its widest point. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley and its main tributary is the Jordan River. The Dead Sea area has become a major center for health research and treatment for several reasons. The mineral content of the water, the very low content of pollens and other allergens in the atmosphere, the reduced ultraviolet component of solar radiation, and the higher atmospheric pressure at this great depth each have specific health effects. 9. An unusual feature of the Dead Sea is its discharge of asphalt. From deep seeps, the Dead Sea constantly spits up small pebbles and blocks of the black substance. Asphalt coated figurines and bitumen coated Neolithic skulls from archaeological sites have been found. Egyptian mummification processes used asphalt imported from the Dead Sea region. Netanya (Hebrew: נְתַנְיָה, lit., "gift of God"; Arabic: نتانيا‎‎) is a city in the Northern Central District of Israel, and is the capital of the surrounding Sharon plain. It is 30 km (18.64 mi) north of Tel Aviv, and 56 km (34.80 mi) south of Haifa, between the 'Poleg' stream and Wingate Institute in the south and the 'Avichail' stream in the north. Netanya was named in honor of Nathan Straus, a prominent Jewish American merchant and philanthropist in the early 20th century. Its 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) of beaches have made the city a popular tourist resort. In addition, the city is known for its large immigrant population. A significant percentage of the city's population consists of immigrants from the former Soviet Union, France, and Ethiopia, and the city is home to a notably large population of English-speaking immigrants from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), at the end of 2014 the city had a total population of 202,428.[1] An additional 150,000 people live in the local and regional councils within 10 kilometres (6 miles) of Netanya which serves as a regional center for them. The city mayor is Miriam Feirberg. The city is expected to reach a population of 350,000 by 2020. The Dead Sea’s unusually high salt concentration means that people can easily float in the Dead Sea due to natural buoyancy. In this respect the Dead Sea is similar to the Great Salt Lake in Utah in the United States.

How do you recognize something that you can touch and something you have to run away from as fast as possible? Here is a list of the most dangerous sea creatures you can meet and how to recognize them! There are so many different species living in the ocean! Some of them are beautiful, some are deadly, and some are both. TIMESTAMPS Fire Coral 0:40 Flower Urchin 1:20 Cone Snail 1:50 Portuguese Man-of-War 2:32 Snea snakes 3:54 Lionfish 4:51 Chironex 5:39 Surgeonfish 6:15 Indonesian needlefish 6:59 Triggerfish 7:34 SUMMARY - Fire Coral. These small organisms can sting, and the effect can be not very serious and it can be quite bad. A stung person may have severe pains, feel nauseated and even vomit, which is not the best thing to do when you are underwater. - Flower Urchin is both very beautiful and very deadly. It contains toxins that can cause anaphylactic shock, convulsions and finally death. You can get poisoned if you step on it when you are in the sea or the ocean. - Scientists say that just one drop of the cone snail’s poison is enough to kill 20 people! Just one drop! - The most mind-blowing fact about Man-of-War is that technically we should call it Men-of-War, and refer to it not as «it», but «they», and here is why: it’s an animal that is made up of a colony of organisms cooperating together. Man-of-war has tentacles that can be 30 feet long, which it uses to paralyze and kill fish and other small creatures. - Sea snakes are much more venomous than their land-living friends. As it turns out, they have to be like that because they hunt fish, so what they need to do is immobilize their prey very quickly not to let it escape. - Many people call the lionfish the most beautiful sea creature in the world. You can find them in the Caribbean and Eastern Atlantic. Lionfishes are not deadly — they do have a venom, but it’s not lethal. However, the pain you will experience if you get stung is so severe that people say you might wish you were dead. - Chironex doesn’t have any teeth, but it’s dangerous as hell. If a person gets stung, they will have excruciating pain, red inflammation in the stung area and heart dysfunction. - Surgeonfish are easily spooked, so you should be extra careful if you see one of them. Don’t make any unexpected fast moves. The good news is, surgeonfish are not aggressive unless, of course, you provoke them. - Indonesian needlefish live in tropical and subtropical waters of the oceans. They, as the name suggests, have a very sharp, needle-like beak, and they are especially dangerous when they hurl themselves out of the water. - Triggerfish is mostly friendly, but only until you are a threat to its nest. The most dangerous are females — if you approach its nest even accidentally, it will bite you. Thankfully, the bites aren’t poisonous, but triggerfish have extremely sharp teeth, so the injuries it can cause need serious medical attention. Top10 longest sea beach in the world. 01. Praia do Cassino Beach, Brazil Praia do Cassino Beach: At over 150 miles in length, this is the longest beach in the entire world. Brazil’s beaches are known for their white sand, warm temperatures and welcoming locals. Any trip here is going to be hot, hot, hot! All sorts of water activities can be enjoyed here but surfing is the most popular pastime. 02.Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh Cox’s Bazar: This beach has the distinction of being the world’s longest ‘natural sand’ beach, stretching across 150 miles. It’s an interesting place which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bangladesh but remains relatively little known amongst travellers in general since Bangladesh is not considered a top destination for the average family. The people who do go here will find that there are three separate spots to enjoy: Laboni Beach which is the main beach close to town, Humchari which is loved for its waterfalls and Inani Beach which is favoured for suntanning. You may hear people here calling the beach Panowa; the term means ‘little flower’ and is the nickname that locals know the place by. 03.Padre Island, Texas Padre Island: This beach is about 130 miles long and is known for being one of the longest drivable beaches in the world. Located in Texas, the water here is from the Gulf of Mexico so it’s a place where the water is warm enough for swimming nearly all year round. There are two distinct sides to this beach; the north side is a party spot for spring break kids and the south side is a National Seashore where visitors can see the dunes and tides preserved in their original state. Make sure to look for the sea turtles which are a favourite tourist attraction here. 04.Ninety Mile Beach, Australia Ninety Mile Beach, Australia: At just over ninety miles, this is a beautiful Australian beach dotted with charming coastal towns. Unfortunately, there aren’t terrific swimming or surfing conditions here most of the time so it’s not necessarily a favourite beach for watersports. Nevertheless, people who are seeking to get great beach photographs will find miles and miles of picture perfect spots here. 05.Ninety Mile Beach, New Zealand Ninety Mile Beach, New Zealand: Not to be outdone by Australia, this neighbouring country also has a Ninety Mile Beach. However, this one is slightly shorter at about 88 miles in length. It’s a popular tourist destination because the sand dunes here look a lot like desert land which provides an interesting contrast to the ocean. 06.Playa Novillero, Mexico Playa Novillero: . This little-known beach is a favourite of people who have travelled extensively throughout Mexico. It is a pristine beach that stretches about fifty miles long and has unique wave patterns that interest people who study water. Despite the fact that this isn’t a tourist attraction, there are some interesting sights to see in the nearby area including historic churches and an indigenous art museum. 07.Virginia Beach, Virginia Virginia Beach: This popular tourist beach that people on the East Coast flock to each summer is approximately 35 miles long. It has the distinction of being named ‘The World’s Longest Pleasure Beach’ by the Guinness Book of World Records. You can take that to mean whatever you like but keep in mind that Virginia’s state motto is ‘Virginia is for Lovers’. 08.Long Beach, Washington Long Beach: This beach regularly claims to be the longest beach in the world and/or the United States but it’s only about thirty miles long, so in reality it’s five times shorter than the longest beaches in the world. Nevertheless, it is a long beach and the longest beach on the United States’ West Coast so it gets to rank even though it boasts to be bigger than it is. 09.Stockton Beach, Australia Stockton Beach: This beach is only about 20 miles long but it’s one of the widest long beaches in the world. In other words, this baby’s got length and girth. It’s known for its sand dunes; in fact, it’s said to have the largest moving sand dunes in the world. You can ride quads or go sandboarding on the dunes and then hit the water with your surfboard. 10.Muizenberg, South Africa Muizenberg: This is a beach located in a small beach town in Africa that is charming, quaint and filled with small historic sites. The beach is slightly longer than twelve miles and is popular among rock climbers who scale the cliffs there. They tend to watch out carefully below though because part of the beach, called False Bay, is known for its White Shark population.

San Francisco Tombstones It’s not unusual to find objects that have washed up on beaches, but residents of San Francisco were in for a surprise in 2012 when some particularly somber items started appearing. Local residents started finding tombstones in the sand of people that had died in the 1800’s. First there was one from 1876, then one from 1890, and they kept on showing up. While this may seem like a dark secret coming to light, the explanation for all of this was far more simple. The reason it had been happening was to do with construction works that had been done to help protect the beaches. The area had formerly been used as a graveyard, but the bodies had long been moved inland. The stones, on the other hand, proved too costly to be moved and were, instead, re-purposed. They were used as breakwaters, gutter liners and to construct a seawall, and it appears as if it is some of these had broken loose and washed up on the beach. 9. Severed Feet Since 2007 beaches and islands on the coast of British Columbia in Canada and Washington state in America have seen a particularly gruesome series of objects washing up on them- human feet that, in most cases, are still in their shoes. In total, 16 feet have been found. Disturbingly only two of these were left feet, which were matched with right feet that also washed up, meaning that the rest must have come from at least 14 different people. It’s completely unknown how these feet arrived on these beaches. Only four people have been identified as their owners, but there are plenty of suggestions of how such a thing might happen. The strange thing here is that only feet have been found, and no bodies. Some people suspect foul play by gangsters, others think they have come from the victims of a plane crash near the area in 2005, and some have suggested they may actually have come from victims of the Asian tsunami in 2004. All of them have been found within shoes that would provide enough buoyancy for them to be carried by currents across the ocean, so it is completely feasible. The true origin of the feet might be a bit closer to home, though. One of those that were found have been linked to a man, and two of the feet have been identified as being from a woman who jumped from the Pattullo Bridge in 2004. It’s quite possible, therefore, that these feet have all come from people who suffered similar fates in the surrounding area. 8. Ambergris As one of the grossest objects you could ever find on the beach, Ambergris is probably the one from this list that you’d most hope to find, because it turns out that this stuff is incredibly valuable. This substance is made when sperm whales eject an intestinal slurry into the ocean. From here it floats and bobs in the waves and, years later, washes up. You’d be forgiven for thinking this was an uninteresting object amongst the rocks, sand and shells that you normally find. It can be found in many forms such as large blocks, balls, egg shapes, jagged pieces or hard rolls, and has a unique smell that purportedly has notes of seaweed, farm animals and maybe a fecal note. Lumps that have been in the ocean for a long time, though, will have a sweeter, earthy scent to them. This smell, rarity, and the unique chemical properties that Ambergris has, is the reason behind its high value. It was, for a long time, a key ingredient for high-end perfume makers like Chanel and Lanvin because of its ability to fix the scent to human skin. While alternatives have been found in recent times, it is still a highly sought after substance--- a 1.1 Kilogram lump that was found in Wales in 2015 sold for £11,000 (around $13,400) at auction later that year.

When this happens, the public has a habit of going crazy and thinking that we have discovered the Loch Ness monster, Big Foot, or even some sort of supernatural creature like an alien. In short, the media loves it when a creature washes up on shore. Even with cameras and probes going all over the place, we still haven’t been able to track down, test, and identify every animal that walks on this Earth. We are still trying to make sense of the fossils that we are still digging up despite the archaeology field being over a century old. One of the most common places for the discovery of new creatures is on the beach. Usually, we are only seeing the dead corpses of these creatures and we have no idea about what these animals were like in life. Also, since post-mortem has the ability to drastically change appearances, sometimes we might even be looking at an animal we already know about, we have mistaken it for something weird. Because we haven’t even been able to touch a percent of the creatures in the ocean, there is still a completely different world under the surface that we have yet to explore. This means that we still have a lot of learning to do when it comes to Animal Kingdom, and we can start putting names to these mysterious faces and fangs sooner than we thought.
