A global business warrior, conquering the IT industry for nearly three decades, recognized consecutively as “Top 50 most influential” and “ Top 100 most powerful” women in the channels, partners with clients to increase their reach in the market and helps put strategic planning into practice. She is the founder of le Pont vers la Vie Académie, a modern day finishing school for youth, and the Ellie Rose Foundation, focused on performance, placement, and prosperity for both beneficiaries, and partners. Get Your Free Online Store Success Pack Here: http://www.effectiveecommerce.com/ESAmazon/ Product Research: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT-YC0WpDYk Shopify vs Amazon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UzQtOfa99w Should you private label on Amazon or should you create your own product from scratch to sell? In this video, I'll share with you the Pros and Cons of both of these and I'll also tell you what my personal favorite way of making money on Amazon. Private Label - Is the process of taking a product that already exists, putting your brand on it and selling it on Amazon. Pros 1. Easy to get started - You don't need a lot of creativity, you just have to do a better job than other people. The only difficult part is product research which I I have a video of. 2. Passive Income - It's a great way to make passive income because Amazon handles all the logistics and a lot of the marketing strategy for you. 3. Live and work from anywhere - Everything that you're doing is online so there's no restriction. Cons 1. Easy for someone to copy you - It can happen in three different forms: It can come from other Amazon FBA seller copying you, Manufacturers from China can copy you and undercut their product, and the last but maybe the scariest of all is Amazon itself. They can make a private label of your product and sell it through Amazon basics or their other Private label product. 2. Not worth as much if you sell your company. Create your own product - It is very similar to Private Label but you try to create something new. Something that maybe doesn't exist in Amazon yet. Pros 1. There's no competition - When you create something unique and that's different from anything in Amazon, you don't have any competition! No one will steal your sales or you don't have to go into price wars. You get sales as long as there's demand for what you're selling. 2. You can sell on Shopify - You can offer discount codes and offer good reasons for people to go to your website. 3. Easier to do all the different types of Marketing such as Instagram, Facebook Ads, Influencer MArketing and others. It is hard to get a lot of buzz around a private label product as to compare with a unique product. 4. Kickstarter or Crowdfunding campaign - You can get everything up and running by raising funds and also see if anybody is interested with your product. Cons 1. You need to do research - You need to spend a little bit more time to make sure that your unique product makes sense. The way that I got around this personally is I created a product that I am interested in. I call this as a passion product. 2. May be more money to start - May happen when you are creating a more elaborate product. So which is the best way to make money online? The answer is it depends you. Private label is an easy way to make quick cash once you get started, but creating your own Passion Product is the better way to actually build a real company. Almost all major successful companies did the same thing so this is something you may want to consider if you want to grow a real company. When you’re building a business you need to ensure you build a brand and if you’re just using online marketplaces remember you are building their brand and not your own. EBay, Amazon, Etsy, etc are amazing and I would recommend everyone to list their product on them as you want your products in as many places as possible but you must always have your own website and social media as you are only ever building their brand and not your own. With Etsy recently increasing their fees from 3.5% to 5% many Etsy only businesses are angry and upset but you cannot blame Etsy, you can only blame yourself if you have not built up your own brand on your own website. Setting up your own Ecommerce website can be done for less than 99p per day so there is no excuse. In todays video we award the winner of the best business at the Blackburn Festival of Making Teenage Markets who has shown the best Ecommerce potential and talk about the importance of building your own brand and how to do it using video and social media. — No Music -- Antony Chesworth is an UK based entrepreneur and the CEO and founder of EKM.com which allows anyone to create their own successful online shop. Sign-Up For Printful https://www.printful.com/a/rulesforrebels Hey guys, just got an e-mail from Printful the other day notifying me of a relatively new feature. This maybe has been around for a few weeks or months but it's not something I'd noticed in the past. Essentially what it is, for $2.49 you can add a custom tag to the inside of your tees. This is available for any shirts with a tear off label which includes most of the Bella Canva shirts as well as a Gildan and I believe two of the Anvil shirts as well. While it does add an even higher price tag to Printful which is already a fairly low margin business with their high price point, a Bella Canva shirt with Printing comes in with a base price of $17.95, however I could see having your own "brand" adding some perceived value in excess of $2.49. Curious to hear your thoughts. Is this kind of a cool feature or a huge waste of money? 제네시스 EQ900 공식 출시 After weeks of tease and some more of that... Hyundai Motor has finally unveiled the Genesis EQ900 － the first model to be sold under the Genesis brand. Korea′s largest automobile manufacturer is hoping the new brand will help the company secure a stronger foothold in the global luxury car market. Ready？ Our Kwon Jang－ho brings us the new Genesis. So here is it the new Genesis. The body has had a sleek redesign， it′s got new adaptive LED headlights， but it′s kept its signature hexagonal front grill. And of course there′s the badge. Genesis is now officially a new brand， separate from Hyundai. After 7 years of being sold under the Hyundai Motor name， the Genesis line of luxury sedans has been spun－off into its own name， in a similar way to Toyota and its luxury off－shoot， Lexus. This EQ900 or G90 as it will be known internationally is the first to be released under the new name. It′s available in three different engines， a V6， a twin－turbo V6 and a more powerful V8. The chassis is made of a light－weight， high－strength steel developed by Hyundai itself， and the interior has been given a drastic make－over too. Wood trim， designer leather seats and a central console boasting the latest gadgets complete the luxury feel. Prices start from 62－thousand U.S. dollars， and go up to almost 100－thousand dollars. That′s more expensive than its competitors， the BMW 5－Series or the Mercedes E－class in Korea. But 10－thousand pre－orders have already been made， and the Genesis′s creators believe the car has what it takes to compete on the global luxury car market. ″It′s the right moment in time now for Hyundai to release the Genesis brand... We have reached a level of design and production method and technology to be able to at eye－level and compete with other brands.″ But experts warn it won′t be an easy road ahead. ″When considering a luxury brand， heritage is very important， meaning its own history and the traditions... Only because Genisis is launching as a luxury brand， doesn′t mean it will succeed right away. A lot of time will be needed.″ International sales of the G90 will start next year， and by 2020， Genesis plans to release 5 more models， ranging from the a sports coupe to an SUV. Get Your Free Online Store Success Pack Here: http://www.effectiveecommerce.com/ESstarting/ Effective Ecommerce Itunes: http://www.effectiveecommerce.com/itunes/ In this episode of the Effective Ecommerce Podcast. We're gonna be talking about Dropshipping versus White Labeling versus Creating your own Product. Now before I go any farther I do want to say that I actually I'm rear according this just for YouTube I messed up and I forgot to record the video for the podcast I did and you can actually watch the mess-up live I did a live YouTube stream I'm doing a you live YouTube stream every Wednesday at 5:00 PM PST or 8:00 PM EST. So you if you wanted to you could have saw my mess-up live. So I'm re-recording this just for YouTube so if I leave anything out please let me know please leave it in the comments down below but you can see the full original podcast episode or you can listen to it at least by going to iTunes looking for the effective e-commerce podcast so if you're in a podcast definitely check that out. But let's get started so the first thing I want to talk about here is what is the difference between Dropshipping, White Labeling, and creating your own products I think it's important to define the different terms there's Dropshipping which basically you act as a middleman customers buy stuff from you and then you turn around and tell the manufacturer where to ship it so an example of this might be you are the kayak king and you have a website kayak King com and you help pair people with certain kayaks so someone might come to your website buy a $500 kayak then you go around and you pay $400 to some manufacturer let's say you know Rugged Outdoors Kayaks you give them bucks and they ship it for you so there's a lot of benefits for this and we'll talk about the benefits in just a second the next thing we'll talk about is white labeling and define that white labeling is basically just taking a product that already exists nine times out of ten this is going to Alibaba or going to some kind of Chinese manufacturer and just sticking your logo on it and making it your own product even though there's nothing special about it there's nothing that makes it your own thing that company can turn around and White Label it as many companies as possible meaning you'll have as much competition as they want really an example of this would be you go to a Chinese manufacturer who bruises handheld fans. and you stick your logo on it and maybe it's Cool Breeze Fan and you're just you know whatever you're Fanning yourself with that and that's a white labeling a product so good thing about that is it's a little bit easier than creating your own product from scratch but the downside is anybody can do it it's not that hard another downside is you do have to pay for inventory so drop shipping is a little bit better because you don't have to pay for inventory in that regard but with all of these one of the issues you run across is the easier it is the easier it is for a competitor to come in and steal your lunch because it would suck if you're the kayak king and let's just say Should you start a Dropshipping site? Maybe white label some products? Or is it worth it to go and start your own company from Scratch? In this episode, we answer all these questions and compare and contrast. Redo all the way to the good things about drop shipping Dropshipping -Good for learning -B2B seems to work -Not as easy as a lot of gurus make it out to be -You are a middleman -A lot of downsides White Labeling -Good for Amazon -Makes sense Creating Your Own Product -I prefer this -You have something real, adding real value Online Store AZ Course -As mentioned earlier you can sign up for an online store using my links -Leave a 5-star review on Itunes for a chance to get a free consulting session

Passion Product Course: http://www.effectiveecommerce.com/beta/ Get Your Free Online Store Success Pack Here: http://www.effectiveecommerce.com/ESAmazon/ Selling on Amazon is a bit of a spectrum. You have the resale online arbitrage on the lower part, then wholesale, private labeling and finally, in my opinion, creating your own product. In this video, we're going to compare all the ways you can sell on Amazon and go over the pros and cons of each of them and figure out which one is right for you. Resale Online Arbitrage - This is when you find something that you can buy for cheap and resell it on Amazon. Pros 1. Quick Easy Money 2. Cost very little to start - The only startup cost is buying the actual product. Con 1. Not scalable at all - It takes you going out and buying stuff and reselling it on Amazon. You need to constantly be hunting for new sales or new cheap opportunities that are you can then go and resell. Whosale - Buying a lot of products from big companies and selling it on Amazon so you make a profit. Pros 1. Easy to get started - All you have to do is find someone who is willing to sell their products at a wholesale price and then start selling on Amazon. 2. Semi Predictable Income - You know how much you should buy and how much you are going to sell compare with Online Arbitrage. Cons 1. Costs more to start - There usually gonna have higher minimums to buy products on a wholesale price. 2. Suppliers can cut you off 3. Hard to sell off Amazon - It's difficult to sell these products on your own website. Private Labeling- Find a product that already exists, find a manufacturer then put your own label on it. Pros 1. Good Margins - You'll make the most money back as to compare with the other first two methods. 2. Suppliers can't just cut you off - You can just find a different manufacturer when your original supplier cut you off. 3. Predictable Income Cons 1. Nothing special about you - If it's easy for you to get started for you, then that means it's also easy for other people to get started as well. 2. Hard to sell off Amazon - It's difficult to sell off Amazon unless you're doing a great job of creating a brand. 3. Cost more to start - The manufacturer usually will require a decent amount of money for your first production run. Creating Your Own Product- Creating something unique that doesn't exist in the world yet. Pros 1. Best margins - You can charge more because it's a unique product 2. Create a Brand - You get brand loyalty and do fun things. You can also advertise on social media such as on Instagram. 3. Easy to Sell Off Amazon - You can create your own website so you are not totally reliant on Amazon. 4. Most Predictable Income - You will have a lot more repeat purchasers and brand equity 5. CrowdFund - You can use Kickstarter or IndieGoGo to raise a bunch of money and use that money for your first production run. Cons 1. Takes Creativity - A lot of people struggle with coming up of idea for creating your own unique product. I do have a lot of different methods on how to come up with an idea for a product but the first and maybe most important one is, think about what do you wish existed in the world or what would you buy but it just doesn't exist yet? Then go create that! So which one of these should you do and when should you do them? I might be a little bias as to what I think is the best method to make money on Amazon is, but that's just because this is what works for me. That being said, each of these different ways of selling on Amazon has their place. If you are tight on cash and you need quick money, then Retail Arbitrage might make more sense. If you want to just dip your toe into the water then wholesaling on Amazon could work. For me personally, if you don't have any idea for a product but you want to try your hand at all the rest of the pieces and sell on Amazon, then Private Labeling makes sense. But if you want to create a real brand, a real business, then creating a passion product by far is the best way in my opinion to make money both on Amazon and off Amazon. Jessica Zweig and Dr. Julius W. Few, two self-made entrepreneurs, sit down for a quick chat on how they’ve turned their personal brands into successful standalone businesses—it’s just another day on SimplyBe. TV! This week, #bossbabe Jessica interviews her old friend, Dr. Julius Few, board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of the Chicago-based Few Institute. Dr. Few prides himself on not just talking the talk, but walking the walk—and you know his word runs deeper than face value, as faces ARE his business. An extension of Dr. Few’s personal brand, the Few Institute has found immense success by proving that plastic surgery doesn’t have to be extreme. Dr. Few is known for his precise technique and has cultivated a large client base loyal not only to the man himself, but to the Few brand as a whole. Of course, he didn’t achieve success overnight. So how did he elevate his personal brand and scale his business to where it is today? It’s all about relationships, including the one with yourself. You might want to take notes. Embrace being your own brand, and strive to make it a reflection of the best version of yourself. (1:06) In order to scale, you need people who value authenticity (and can smell a phony a mile away). Surround yourself with stimulating people. Not only those who are bright, thoughtful, and curious, but those who are also looking to grow, evolve, and feel part of something bigger. (4:18) Pick opportunities that you’re actually going to enjoy. You know you’ve made it when you have to turn down work. We call this “the burden of opportunity,” and it’s definitely where you want to be. To lighten the load, Dr. Few suggests saying no almost as much as you say yes. (8:35) Above all, Dr. Few says to let joy be your guide. No matter where you are in your career, you have the opportunity to follow your joy. We guarantee this will help you grow your business. Make joy your north star and see where that takes you. You can learn more about Dr. Few at www.fewinstitute.com and at www.fewinitiative.org, Dr. Few’s nonprofit focused on empowering at-risk youth to give back to their communities. For more tips on how to build your personal brand, monetize your passion, and make a career out of simply being YOU, make sure to tune into next week’s episode and subscribe to SimplyBe. TV!
