- Hello, you guys, and welcome back to another Vivian Tries. Today I have a really cool product that I wanna show you guys. It is an ice cream maker. And not just any ice cream maker. You're expecting a big ole machine. No, no. This ice cream maker is flat, and it's actually just like a pan. And why am I describing it, and not just showing it to you? Because I have taken it out of the packaging. Because you have to put it in the freezer, and allow it to freeze completely before you use it. And here's a great picture of it, right there.
Is a pan, and I think inside of it, what it felt like was like water was in there. And I know a lot of people have seen the new hot trend of buying ice cream that is flat like a sheet, and then they roll it up by scraping it off a cold surface. I think this is something very similar. You can do it at home. So I'm so excited because it says you can make ice cream in minutes without a giant ice cream maker. So I'm super excited. 'Cause you can make ice cream in small, little batches. Who doesn't want that? Here I have the dry ingredients for my ice cream mix.
Like I said, I have the pan in the freezer freezing. The package also came with the two little scraper spoons, I guess is what they're called. These yellow ones that you can use to scrape the ice cream off. How cute are these? In my refrigerator, I have heavy whipping cream, and I also have whole milk that I will add to this dry ice cream mix. Other than that, I only have these yellow sprinkles that I'm gonna use in my ice cream. That's all I had. I only have those sprinkles, I have to use them.
Let me get the whole milk. The first step I need to do is pour 1/2 of a cup of the actual mix onto the surface of the ice cream pan, and allow it to cover the entire bottom. I can do that. Then it says to wait 10 to 15 seconds, and blend the mix all over the surface until it begins to thicken. Pretty easy. Nothing fancy, we can do that. Here I have whole milk and heavy whipping cream. Now we're gonna blend this stuff together. And this was pretty easy. I just bought a box of this ice cream mix. Vanilla is all they had. Chocolate would be my favorite. You know what I just thought about?
Ice cream cake. Ice cream birthday cake. Mm. Okay, let me go pull the pan out of the freezer so we can start pouring. Oh, wait, I should measure out 1/2 a cup, huh? We wanna make sure this is right. 1/2 a cup right there. I'm gonna put this in the freezer while we pour this 1/2 a cup, just to make sure that this stays nice and cold. Okay, let's do that. Here it is, you guys. See, it's just a pan. How cool is this ice cream maker? When I first put it in there, I could feel the water in there.
Okay, so it is frozen solid. Pouring 1/2 a cup of the mixture onto the frozen surface, and then covering the entire bottom. It's what it said. So it said wait 10 to 15 seconds. Okay, I'm gonna say 15 seconds have passed. Whoa. Look. (gasps) Oh, my God, look, look. Guys, I'm a professional at cone, it's not cone, it's stone cold creamery. Look, you're supposed to mix it in. You see? Why does it look like that? Should we put more? I can only make 1/2 a cup at once? I don't have time to read the instructions. I'm afraid it's not gonna be as cold. I love it. It is totally working.
Look at my ice cream. I have ice cream. Like those new ice cream shops. You got ice cream in like one minute. Maybe I should flatten it out, and then I'll make those rolls like you do at the new ice cream parlors. Who calls them parlors? That's so old school. Am I 75? Nobody calls them parlors. Okay, you gotta make it real thin, then I'm gonna roll it, right? Gonna scoop it up. Look at that ice cream. I just made that in my kitchen right in front of you guys in approximately one minute. See, this is totally how they do it at that cone, why can't I say that? Cone stone? Stone cold. Stone Cold Steve Austin, that's all I can think about. Stone cold, no. Stone, cold stone. Cold Stone Creamery. I have about a pint of ice cream now. This is a pint.
I'm gonna say let's keep pouring this, 'cause this is nice and chilled. I don't know how long this is gonna be cold like this. But I think the trick is just to cover up the bottom with a really thin coat of it. Let it freeze in peace. Just leave it alone. Don't touch it even though you wanna touch it. Don't frickin' touch it, okay? It's been 15 seconds, let's see. Look at that. Spread it out, spread it out. Okay, let me just scoop it up with this thing. Are you guys not impressed? Look at that, I mean. I'm gonna go buy all kinds of ingredients to put in my ice cream. Look at my ice cream, you guys. Look at that big bowl of ice cream I already have. So I'm gonna give this guy … Vivian heads.
