15 BIZARRE Laws From Around The World
15 BIZARRE Laws From Around The World ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/vHN6qB For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Everyone is familiar with everyday laws that most of us obey. These can be your everyday things from speeding to just general behavior towards each other, and of course not robbing banks. But aside from these well-known laws, there are some laws so bizarre that you’ll wonder what happened that the law needed to be passed in the first place. Check out these 15 BIZARRE Laws From Around The World. 15 - Hiking naked in Switzerland – It’s fun to think that there is actually a law like this in place for a reason, and one guy found out the hard way that you just can’t go strolling around wearing anything but your birthday suit… 14. Stepping on Money in Thailand is illegal – here is a strange law that could land you in some trouble if you don’t know about it. Although it might not be one that you will have any difficulty avoiding, if there is some Thai money laying on the ground 13. Illegal to be fat in Japan – No one tell Weird Al Yankovich, but if you are in Japan, and you are fat, then you could be in trouble. Although the fine or the consequences of being too fat are unknown, Japan decided it was time to ban being obese. 12. Chewing Gum is Illegal in Singapore – If you like to chew bubble gum, or just enjoy having a stick of mint gum to freshen your breath, you better not do this in Singapore. 11. Owning Too Many Potatoes illegal in Western Australia – If you lived in a communist country, you would expect to find some strange laws about what kinds of food you were allowed to have and how much. 10. Flushing Toilet In Switzerland – Some laws are hard to believe, and some laws are understandable, and then there are the ones that are right in the middle. In another strange Switzerland law, it is illegal to flush your toilet after 10 pm. This is, of course, assuming you live in an apartment building. 9. Feeding Pidgeon’s – here is a law that sounds downright silly until you really understand why it became a law in the first place. In the sunny city of San Francisco, the feeding of pigeons has been made completely illegal. Pigeons aren’t very bright creatures, to begin wit. 8. Forgetting Your Wife’s Birthday – Many of you are saying that this is a no-brainer and we all know we are in trouble if we forget our wife’s birthday, but did you know that somewhere there is actually a law against this forgetfulness. This place is known as Samoa and for some reason, it was made a law. 7. Whaling Banned In Oklahoma – There are probably a lot of you who don’t live in the United States and aren’t probably familiar with the different states. Whaling is banned in many places around the world due to declining whale populations and the fact many are endangered. 6. In Baltimore, Maryland, it’s illegal to bring a lion to the movies – This has to fall into that category of ‘someone had to actually do this for it to become illegal. It’s probably not nice to take a lion to the movies as no one would be entertained except maybe you. 5. Old Mail – This law will probably be a surprise to many. Since 1986, the US Postal Service and any US Authorities get legal access to any mail that is 180 days old, and they don’t need a warrant to open whatever mail that is, be it a letter or even a package. 4. No Minimum Marriage Age – in many countries in the world, there are laws in place that require a person to be an adult before marriage, which is proper in more ways than one besides the fact that little children shouldn’t be married. 3. Wife beating law – We’d like to take this time to remind everyone that we aren’t responsible for any damages arising out of the views of our videos. 2. Walk Your Dog – In some countries, you have to keep your dogs on a leash when you walk them and you have to make sure to clean up after them. But there is no law that says you have to walk your dog, unless you live in Turin, Italy. 1. Changing a lightbulb – Everyone knows how to change a lightbulb. Granted that back in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s it might have been a real chore. But when a light goes out, anyone can change a lightbulb…that is unless you live in Victoria, Australia. We hope you enjoyed this video. Let us know which one of these laws you thought was the most bizarre. And if you liked the video, then give the subscribe button a gentle click and it will respond by letting you know we released a new video. 10 Craziest Laws You Can Only Find In JAPAN
10 strange rules that only exist in Japan. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Japan is one of the most visited countries in the world, as well as one of the most powerful economies out there. Japan is a country that is rich in history, culture, and some rather interesting laws. Japan itself is fascinating because they seem to take themselves so seriously, but then have the zaniest game shows and pop culture. Anime is ever so popular, and Japan also brought us Pokemon. However, they are also trying to compensate for the fact that many citizens are unhappy. With more bright colors and happy things out there in society, Japan hopes to bring more light and joy to their people...along with some crazy laws that seem to make no sense! For example, there was a recently overturned law that prohibited dancing! That included nightclubs and balls. Businesses had to apply for a special permit in order to have dancing. It seems odd, but that just shows how Japan is ever growing and changing! Never Do These Things in Foreign Countries
If you don’t want to be in one of those, or better yet featured on YouTube as “that crazy tourist,” fined or even arrested, pay attention to our list of do’s and don’ts accurate in different countries of the world. “So many countries, so many customs.” Any jet-setter will agree this good old proverb is true. In the age of globalization, going places has become an essential part of our life. We’re all well aware of the fact that while visiting a foreign country, we must obey certain local traditions and common rules. Failing to do so has given a rich ground for many jokes. TIMESTAMPS Russia 0:54 Chile 1:44 Singapore 2:18 India 3:05 Japan 3:29 Mexico 4:07 New Zealand 4:39 Norway 5:25 Turkey 5:49 United Kingdom 6:29 Ireland 7:03 Germany 7:35 Kenya 8:26 Malaysia 9:16 Korea 9:35 SUMMARY - If you want to surprise your Russian girlfriend or your business partner, never give an even number of flowers as a gift. Even numbers of flowers are for grieving and funerals. - Manners matter more to the people of Chile than to other South Americans. It is extremely important not to eat anything with your fingers. - Chewing gum, for example, is banned in Singapore, so you’d better leave it at home before getting on the plane. If you break the gum rule for the first time, you may be fined for up to a $1000. - When in India, you have to keep your private life to yourself and your emotions under control. No matter how much you want to show affection to your special someone, never kiss them in public. - Similar to India, public demonstration of affection is not acceptable in Japan. Remember, there is no hugging, or even worse, kissing, in public! - A good piece of advice will be to stay as thick skinned as possible since Mexicans love making jokes and never miss a chance to do so. Don’t take things too personally. - Remember the difference between “aussies” and “kiwis.” Never mix them up! In case you didn’t know: the “aussies” stand for Australians, and the “kiwis” – for New Zealanders. - When in Norway, don’t ask questions concerning church. This may be taken for disrespect. Many people here don’t attend church, and those who do will want to keep it to themselves. - An essential thing to remember before going to Turkey is not to give anyone the OK sign. It might seem like a sign of approval to you but is considered an obscene gesture for the Turks. - British people like their pudding fresh and their queues well-organized. Don’t jump the queue. Or expect to be judged by the locals. - Do not try to play it cool and sound like Irishmen. For Irish people there is no such a thing as Irish accent; they recognize and divide accents depending on the region of Ireland they come from. - Don’t stare at people. Germans might look very attractive but try to resist the temptation of staring at Fraus on the metro. Only poorly educated and crazy people do that here. - Don’t show disrespect for religion. No matter what their religion may be, Kenyans are very devout. - For Malaysians, this is “the home of the soul” and the most sacred part of the body. Keep yourself from running your fingers through people’s hair, especially babies. - If you want to have good manners in Korea, use two hands when handing over money. When you pay for things, pass on your cash or credit card with both hands. It’s a sign of respect. Do you know any other things that are prohibited in foreign countries? 10 CRAZIEST Laws You Can Only Find In Germany
10 bizarre rules that actually exist in Germany. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] What are some of the craziest laws in your country? No matter what you think, there’s one country that might have you beat! Germany is well-known for being a little eccentric. But they’re in good company as Europe can be a little zany sometimes. However, there have been research papers and books dedicated to the bizarre laws that keep the country in working order. Some of these laws are so interesting that you have to wonder what the story is behind them. There are some laws that make sense, even if they are weird. For example, Germany has actual “quiet times” set up. Now, you would usually find this in an apartment complex but not as a country-wide rule. Also, you have to be polite to police officers, and you could land yourself in hot water if you called them an informal name or pronoun. It’s rather crazy, and it honestly makes Germany all the more interesting! The U.K's Most Ridiculous Rules!
Get more Tips here! www.destinationtips.com Ever been to the U.K? You'll be surprised to know some of the strange rules and laws you've been breaking all this time! 1. It’s Illegal To Be Drunk in a Pub This has to be one of the most commonly broken laws. But not by the patrons! The responsibility actually falls on the pub landlord to stop serving any patrons who have had one too many. If he serves you, yes. He's the one breaking the law! 2. No Dying in the Houses of Parliament! What are they going to do if you do die? Arrest you? Well, the building is technically a palace so anyone who croaks there is entitled to a state funeral. 3. Don’t Import Polish Potatoes This isn’t some archaic decree from yore, if not a law from 2004. “no person shall import into England potatoes which he knows to be (or suspects to be) Polish potatoes." Additional Fact: It actually has to do with keeping out pests and diseases. 4. It’s Illegal to ‘Handle a Salmon in Suspicious Circumstances’ This bizarre law is actually from the 80's and only applies to England Scotland and Wales. So you can suspiciously handle a Salmon in Northern Ireland, then? 5. Males Over 14 Must Learn How to Handle a Longbow It’s still on the books that all Englishmen 14 and up are meant to have two hours of weekly longbow practice, under supervision of the local clergy. Additional; Might come in handy for some future Hunger Games-like scenario. They could at least update this law to let teenage girls take longbow lessons too? 6. It's Illegal to Fly a Kite It's even illegal to slide on ice in the street. The Town Police Clauses Act can win you 14 days imprisonment for flying a kite in “any street, to the obstruction, annoyance, or danger of the residents or passengers.” 7. In Scotland, You Have to Let a Stranger Use Your Loo There are some legal antecedents stemming from the fact that rural Scottish properties were so far apart that by the time you reached the next house, chances are you'd be desperate to go, and better in the toilet than out in the heather. It's all part of the friendly hospitality up in the Highlands. 8. It's Illegal to Move a Dead Whale. Since 1322 it's against the law for anyone to remove a dead whale or sturgeon from the British coastline because it technically becomes the property of the ruling monarch once it is beached. 9. It's Illegal to Carry a Plank of Wood While Walking Along the Pavement Is easy to see how this law came about in 1839 and it still stands today. If you’re caught breaking this law they might make you walk the plank. 10. Don’t Make Your House a Pigsty Since 1847, it’s actually illegal to keep a pigsty in the front yard of your home. However, a front-yard pigsty is permissible as long as its “duly hidden.” 11. In the UK a pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants, including in a policeman's helmet. 12. In York it is legal to murder a Scotsman within the ancient city walls, but only if he is carrying a bow and arrow. 13. In Liverpool, it is illegal for a woman to be topless except as a clerk in a tropical fish store. What country do you want us to do the next Strangest Rules Video on? 16 Crazy Things That Are Considered Normal In Other Countries
Every country has its own laws, traditions, rules, and specific features that might seem strange and even shocking to the people of other cultures. For example, did you know that women in India can marry a tree? And it’s not because they are crazy about nature. Or that in South Korea babies are considered to be one year old at birth? Or that Australia fines its citizens that don’t show up to elections? Our world is amazing and unique and that’s what Bright Side keeps reminding our readers. The following 16 facts confirm this statement. TIMESTAMPS: Some women in India marry trees 0:53 Sundanese people in Indonesia sometimes use banana leaves instead of plates 2:02 There is a cult of live Kumari goddesses in Nepal and it is made up of little girls 2:44 People in Israel build temporary dwellings called sukkahs in order to live there during the celebration of Sukkot 3:41 Newborn babies in South Korea are considered to be one year old 4:23 A metro passes through a block of apartments in China 5:17 Fast food restaurants in the Philippines sell huge portions 5:54 A whole family can fit on one motorcycle in Pakistan 6:32 Egyptians have a completely different concept of traffic rules 7:02 People in Italy arrange battles of oranges 7:35 Residents of Great Britain need to buy a separate TV license for each TV set at home 8:37 There is a church tax in Germany 9:32 People in Australia are fined for not voting 10:29 In Canada, milk is sold in transparent plastic bags 11:07 There are a group of female wrestlers that wear colorful clothes in Bolivia 11:32 There is a special ’instrument of education’ called la chancla that moms in Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries use 12:35 #factaboutcountries #traditions #worldrules Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - After the ceremony, the tree is cut and burned and the woman is then allowed to marry a man. - People from completely different social positions can eat from one leaf: a taxi driver, a governor, an unemployed person, a teacher, the mayor of the city, etc. - People in Nepal believe that the Hindu goddess Taleju has an earthly incarnation in little girls whose bodies she sometimes possesses. - One should spend as much time as possible in a sukkah during the week of celebrations — eat there, rest there, and pray there. If living there is not an option, having meals in a sukkah twice a day is obligatory. - Newborn babies in South Korea and in some other countries are considered one year old. Additionally, it’s believed that a person becomes one year older not on their birthday (though that is celebrated too) but on the first day of the Lunar New Year. - There is an extremely atypical architectural solution that you can see in the Chinese city of Chongqing — the Liziba monorail train station is located inside a residential building. - Don’t get surprised if you see a portion of French fries for 6 people on the McDonald’s menu in the Philippines. - You can drive any way you want in Egypt and it’s unlikely that your driving license will be revoked. Of course, this type of driving creates traffic jams, emergency situations, and many dangers for commuters that are on bikes or walking. - Every year, in February or at the beginning of March, the Carnevale d’Ivrea is held involving the traditional battle of oranges. People throw oranges at each other like snowballs. - Kirchensteuer — is a church tax that is imposed on the parishioners of some religious communities in Germany. Roman Catholic churches, Evangelical churches, a unitary religious society of free Protestants, and Jewish communities are among them. - Australia is one country where people are required to pay a fine for not participating in the election. The fine is not huge, but still, it’s a penalty. - The idea of recruiting a number of simple Bolivian women to participate in wrestling competitions belonged to Juan Mamani, the manager of a team called the Titans of the Ring. CRAZIEST Laws in America
America is an amalgam of mixed ideals and sometimes those ideals belonging to the people in power get pushed onto the public and become laws. Whether good or bad, each state seems to have their own hard to believe law. From bouncing pickles to wrestling bears, here are some strange laws you may not have heard of. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 11. North Dakota The Code of Ordinances in Devils, Lake, North Dakota states in Chapter 8.20 under section 8.20.030 that no person is allowed to set off fireworks unless it is between certain hours. The official time they can be set off is between 8:00 am and 11:00 pm otherwise it’s considered disturbing the peace. The previous section, however, states that fire works can only be used no earlier than July 1st up until July 5th. 10. New Mexico According to a 2013 constitutional amendment for New Mexico’s constitution, all “idiots” are prohibited from being allowed to vote in elections. New Mexico’s classification for “idiots” is as follows: “insane persons and persons convicted of a felonious or infamous crime unless restored to political rights.” Apparently, as far as we know, this is the only law of its kind that is enforced in America. 9. Nebraska In the state of Nebraska, it is considered against the law for any individual who is afflicted by an STI or sexually transmitted infection to get married. The Nebraska Revised Statute Chapter 42 Section 102 says “No person who is afflicted with a venereal disease shall marry in this state.” This also coming from a state that has a no whale hunting law even though they have no whales whatsoever. 8. Montana Section 4-304 of the Billings, Montana Code of Ordinances explicitly states that rats are not to be sold as pets, toys or given to anyone as a gift. The raising of rats is also prohibited, unless, they’re being raised as food for either snakes, birds of prey or both. This law excludes scientists who use them as part of their research projects. 7. Alaska Under the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, it is illegal for drivers to keep any animal in the back seat of an open vehicle unless they are enclosed in a cage or tethered to the vehicle. This is to ensure that the animal will not jump or fall out of the moving vehicle. The law was created after someone’s dog was reported as being a public nuisance. 6. Tennessee Back on June 1, 2011, a new bill was passed by Tennessee lawmakers that prohibits people from sharing their login information to sites like Netflix and Napster. The bill was backed by professionals in the recording industry as a way to try and prevent piracy. It’s aimed at people who sell the logins for a profit rather than those who share it with their friends but even they can be faced with fines and even jail time. 5. California It might be hard for some to believe but the state of California has a statewide ban on single-use plastic bags at major retail stores. Some of those stores can also charge you 10 cents per bag if you opt for reusable plastic bags, compostable bags, and recycled paper bags. Under Proposition 67, the ban that was introduced in 2014 passed two years later as part of the November 2016 ballot and the legislation became permanent. 4. Arkansas Thanks to someone who was probably feeling a bit “hangry,” it is now illegal for a person to honk their vehicle’s horn near an establishment that sells cold drinks and sandwiches after 9pm. Most places are closed by 9pm so it’s considered as disturbing the peace. The law can be found under the Little Rock, Arkansas List of Ordinances as Section 18-54. 3. Arizona In the state of Arizona, it is illegal for donkeys to sleep in bathtubs. How did this come to be? Well, sometime back in the 1920’s a local damn in Arizona broke and a rancher’s house became flooded. The rancher’s pet donkey had grown used to sleeping in the tub and as a result, it was washed away. The animal was later found several miles away and was rescued. They passed this law so that they wouldn’t have to deal with an ordeal like this again. 2. Missouri The act of bear wrestling where a person, not another bear, physically wrestles a bear, was banned back in November 3, 1998. There are actually 8 different types of ways you can receive a penalty all of which can be found listed in the Revisor of Statutes. The class A misdemeanor was introduced due to all the animal cruelty violations. 1. Alabama According to Section 32-5A-53, Alabama state law declares that it is illegal for any persons to operate a vehicle while blindfolded. The same law states that the person may not drive their vehicle if there are too many persons to the point where it obstructs the would-be driver’s frontal and side views. Someone clearly attempted this and it resulted in this law being made.

Dumb Laws That Will Get You ARRESTED Around The World!
top 10 funny old laws in other countries that are still in the books today Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Other Videos You Might Like 10 Outrageous Reasons Kids Got Kicked Out Of School https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFOUdmX7Lkw 10 Leaked Pictures The WWE Doesn't Want You To See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OtEXqN1ZfY Description: The human race has a love-hate relationship with laws. They are created to help keep the functioning of humanity intact, but they can also be the source of some of our biggest headaches we have ever encountered. Laws have evolved over the course of time to adapt to the ongoing changes in society. For example, in the United States, you couldn’t marry someone from a different race. People would go to other countries to get married, and slowly but surely, interracial marriage was allowed in different states throughout the 20th century before the law was ultimately determined to be unconstitutional in 1967. Today, homosexual marriage, which used to be against the law, is now becoming legal in more states in the USA. These laws were created upon the idea of keeping the public safe, but there are also some laws that are created after an event happens so that the occurrence never happens again. However, some of these laws are so crazy that you have to wonder exactly what happened to influence the law to be made in the first place and what consequences they brought upon society. For example, in Thailand, leaving the house without underwear is breaking the law. How would law enforcement know this? We’re not sure, and don’t want to find out. Also, you’re not allowed to litter with your chewed gum or speak badly of the royal family. Finally, you can’t drive in Thailand without your shirt. In Sweden, it is legal to be a prostitute, but it is illegal to use the services of one. You also can’t hit children in any way, so that means spanking is out. Finally, during the long dark winters that hit the country, you’re not allowed to complain about the darkness and wish it were sunny. But Sweden isn’t the only country to ban bad attitudes. Milan, Italy has a no frowning law and people are only exempt if they’re at a funeral or going to the hospital. Given that Italy is the fashion capitol of the world, you’re not allowed to wear polyester if you’re obese, and a man can be arrested for wearing a skirt. Also, it’s against the law to feed the pigeons in Venice, Italy. In Australia, they seem to only partially try to protect the children. While kids can’t buy cigarettes, it is perfectly legal for them to smoke them. Usually these type of laws would go hand in hand, but in this case, there seems to be only half of an effort. Taxi drivers are also required to carry a bale of hay in the trunk and you can’t change a light bulb unless you’re a licensed electrician. Finally, some of the craziest laws involve sex. In Singapore, you can’t walk around your house naked because it’s considered to be pornographic. Which means that porn is illegal. Also, you can’t perform oral sex unless it’s a form of foreplay, and homosexuals aren’t allowed in the country. There’s more craziest laws where these came from. Check out the video for the rest. 15 Strange Things That Seem Normal Only In South Korea
South Korea is a dream travel destination for many, an absolutely fantastic culture, a country of contrasts, where modern technologies and ancient Eastern traditions harmoniously combine into something totally unique in and of itself. Every journey to this amazing country reveals countless new secrets and mysteries. These crazy yet amazing facts South Korea might astonish you. Photo credits: https://m.pikabu.ru/profile/AdaKwon (2:57, 3:49, 4:41, 7:44) People in Korea really love practical gifts like this and especially ones that can be eaten. For example, management at one South Korean company presented their employees with food baskets. The Korean New Year usually takes place in January or February, depending on the time of the second new moon after the winter solstice. South Korea is home to the most visited church in the world with a parish consisting of over 1 million people a year. There's an established gift-giving culture in Korea with certain rules. For example, big gifts to teachers or public officials are considered bribes. And when somebody visits your home in this country, you can be sure that they’ll bring a drink, dessert, or fruit. In Seoul, there's a subway train dedicated to a comedy animated series called “Larva”. It runs on the green line 8 times a day and features two of the cartoon’s main characters in every car. Koreans are not very familiar with Western traditions, and they don't even have geography at school. At the same time, they'd be happy to tell you anything you want to know about K-pop singers and bands. You need to be attentive, and when you see the bus you need, you have to signal for it to stop. -In the majority of Korean supermarkets, there are unlimited samples for you to test. -A traditional gift at a housewarming party is a few rolls of toilet paper. -Koreans celebrate “Seollal”, or “New Year”, for 3 days: the day before, on, and after the New Year. -Each kindergarten has a specific uniform in a certain color so that kids don't get lost in the crowd during fieldtrips and walks around the city. -About 4 times a year, big churches arrange free visits to dentists and hairstylists for their parish. -Elementary students have classes from 9 AM to 6 PM, middle-schoolers go home at 10 PM, and high-schoolers sometimes have to study until one in the morning. -Couples use social media to brag, have cute little celebrations every 100 days, and even arrange romantic vacations almost every month and display their “in-love” status with the help of matching outfits. -South Korean parents and children like to show their gratitude to a teacher by giving them candy or a cup of coffee. -There are lots of themed subway cars dedicated to certain cartoon characters. -Koreans practically never listen to music or watch movies from other countries. -Modern Korean cuisine is really healthy. They usually eat grilled meat (without oil), a lot of vegetables and plants, and rice. -You won’t find any trash bins on the streets in South Korea because the people there are super tidy. -Office workers are now required, by law, to turn off their computers on Friday evening. 10 Strange School Rules In NORTH KOREA
10 bizarre facts about the school system in North Korea. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] When it comes to North Korea, they don’t always play by the same rules that the rest of the world follows. They have created some concern for the rest of us. Kim Jong-Un, his father and grandfather are considered to be gods with supernatural abilities. Given that there is so much control over North Korea by Kim Jong-Un’s regime, it’s no surprise that this translates over to the bizarre educational system where school rules are nothing short of strange. But when you think about it, these rules “almost” make sense, as they are ways of brainwashing their citizens and forcing them to buy into the country’s ideologies. Compared to the rest of the world, North Korea does have a rigid educational system, and they are held together by rules that don’t make much sense. Many of the rules actually go against basic human needs and nature. 10 Weird SCHOOL RULES from Around the World
top 10 rules students need to follow from schools in other countries Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Description: In order for a school to function properly, rules have to be set into motion. Otherwise, total anarchy and chaos could ensue. Most rules are pretty simple as they revolve around the concept of respect in terms of respecting the teacher and students respecting each other so that there can be a productive learning environment. However, there are some schools that want to exercise more control, and they start to break the boundaries of personal space and living realistically. Some of these rules include unbalanced dress codes where girls have to cover as much of their body as possible while boys aren’t under the same restrictions. Some of these rules even involve food, which do make sense in a way due to food allergies. However, food restrictions have taken such a bizarre turn that parents are having a hard time meeting the demands. In this video are ten unbelievable school rules from around the world. It is important to know that other countries have rules and standards that may seem weird to others. But some of these rules are just downright crazy and could very much violate the right to live as a human. The world is slowly changing and evolving to be more realistic in their school rules, but there have to be bumps in order for change to happen in some way. Whether or not these rules actually help students focus more on education, only time will tell. There are other ways to educate kids without crazy school rules, and trial and error will pave the way to that time. The Weirdest Rules of Switzerland
Get more Tips here! www.destinationtips.com Every country has its cultural quirks and legal oddities, and Switzerland is no different. This affluent nation known for nature, neutrality and luxury has some peculiar rules that are as cuckoo as a Swiss clock. 1. Be Quiet! It’s considered an offense to mow lawns on Sunday. In keeping with the noise complaint vein, don’t even think about slamming a car door or even flushing a toilet after 10 pm or you might just end up with more than scathing looks. 2. Legally Speaking… See those large, yellow vending machines in Zurich? They dispense clean, government-subsidized syringes to heroin junkies. As for marijuana, it’s legal to use and grow it but illegal to sell it. This has resulted in approximately 100 tons of hash and marijuana used each year by around 600,000 citizens. Thank goodness they’ve got all that great chocolate and cheese to deal with the munchies. 3. Table for Two? The Swiss animal rights code is pretty strict. Animals classified as "social species"—such as guinea pigs and parrots—will be considered victims of abuse if they don't live or interact regularly with others of their kind. By the way, it’s also illegal to flush a goldfish down the toilet there too. 4. Ready For War Switzerland is well known for being a neutral state during the world wars, but that doesn't mean they aren't ready for combat. Switzerland’s gun ownership rate is among the highest in the industrialized nations (over 4 million guns in a population of 8 million), and they're prepared to defend themselves if need be. Despite the high firearm rate however, gun-related deaths are one seventh the number of those in the USA. 5. Break Glass… Switzerland's military’s preparedness systems are outstanding. Not only are there fully-stocked bunkers that can house the entire population, but at least 3, 000 locations are ready to blow at the drop of a hat in case of an attack and the destruction of every major access point into the country is high on the cards. What about landing strips? Remove the highways’ grade separations and they’re all set! 6. I Challenge You! Switzerland is the only country to practice direct democracy. If citizens can secure 50, 000 or more signatures against a law passed in Swiss parliament within a 100-day period, they can successfully challenge that law! 7. A Cow For Some Magic Cheese The Swiss take their cheese very seriously. Leasing a cow to restaurants is customary for Swiss farmers, as it’s not only legal to do so, but all the cheese that is procured from the cow’s milk can be kept by the leaser. 8. Please Recycle, But Not on a Sunday Don’t return clinky bottles and cans to public bins on a Sunday. A woman in Zurich was caught perpetrating this offense and was offered a choice between being fined or spending two nights in jail. 9. So What's Oddly Legal There? You can legally download music and movies, no problem, just not share them. Prostitution is legal and so is assisted suicide. The Swiss are okay with public nudity, but draw the line at nude hiking.

5 Ridiculous & Funny Laws You Won't Believe Exist!
So every country or state have their own laws. Many laws are old and don't really have a place in the modern world However old laws are not the only ridiculous laws in some places. So in this list, I'll be showing you 5 ridiculous and funny laws you won't believe exist. ------------------------------------------------------- Vlog Channel: http://www.youtube.com/more5 Twitter: https://twitter.com/OfficialAll5 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sam_all5 Snapchat: SamAll5YT Website: http://www.All5.me ------------------------------------------------------- 5) Feeding Pigeons You'd think something as innocent as feeding a bunch of birds wouldn't be illegal. Well in San Fransisco it really is. This is due to the fact that the city views pigeons as a pest. They say pigeons are responsible for spreading disease and damaging property. Therefore feeding them isn't allowed. If you're caught feeding pigeons you can get yourself a hefty fine. In fact, the city even encourages citizens to report these terrible pigeon feeders to the police. 4) Driving Without a Breathalyser If you ever drive through France make sure you have a portable Breathalyzer in your car. Because if the French police pull you over and see you don't have one, you'll have to pay them 11 Euros. This law is in place not because the police can't breathalyze people but to prevent people from accidentally driving drunk. If you had a few drinks and feel fine, you may still be over the limit. Therefore you should breathalyse yourself just to make sure. This law also applies to tourist driving through the country. Something I guarantee you most tourists won't even think about when entering France. 3) Paying With Coins. Have you ever emptied your piggy bank and bought something using mostly small coins? Well, I'm sure quite a few people have done that before but if they did it in Canada they may have been rejected. Cashiers in Canada can reject a customer if they buy something using too many coins. I know what you're thinking, that's ridiculous, money is money. But according to Canadas Currency Act stores can legally refuse excessive amounts of coins. What counts as excessive is about 25 coins. 2) Eating On Church Steps Italy, of course, has a strong Catholic population. They take their religions quite seriously and therefore if you're caught eating or drinking on a Churches steps you are committing an offence. This law is mostly there to prevent litter and mess by a holy building. But it's not just for churches. It also applies to monuments and near public buildings. What's ridiculous is that tourists will most likely not know about this law. In a beautiful country like Italy where food is a national treasure 1) Vicks Inhalers When you have a blocked nose using a nasal inhaler such a Vicks is a great relief. They can instantly unblock a nose and allow for easy breathing. However, in Japan, Vicks inhalers are banned. They're banned due to the countries strong anti-stimulant drug laws. Yes, I know what you're thinking, how on earth can anyone get high from a Vicks inhaler. It is a pretty ridiculous, but it's not just Vicks inhalers that are banned. Popular over the counter allergy & sinus medication such as Sudafed are also banned. So if you're ever visiting Japan, just make sure you don't have any Vicks in your suitcase. Have you got any funny laws where you live then let me know in the comments below?

As peculiar as such laws are, they offer a unique glimpse into the societies where they're enforced. So read on to learn more about the top 10 weird laws around the world.
