What is LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION? What does LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION mean? LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION meaning - LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION definition - LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Interpretation or interpreting is oral translation of speech or sign from a language into another. Translation studies is the systematic study of the theory, description and application of interpretation and translation. An interpreter is a person who converts a thought or expression in a source language into an expression with a comparable meaning in a target language either simultaneously in "real time" or consecutively when the speaker pauses after completing one or two sentences. The interpreter's objective is to convey every semantic element as well as tone and register and every intention and feeling of the message that the source-language speaker is directing to target-language recipients (except in summary interpretation, used sometimes in conferences) For written speeches and lectures, sometimes the reading of pre-translated texts is used. The terms interpretation and translation are commonly used interchangeably but are not synonymous. Interpretation describes immediate conversion of source (oral or text) orally (or by sign language), whereas translation is the conversion of source (recorded oral, sign or text) to text. The primary practical distinction is that, in translation, the translator has more time to consider the output and may access resources (dictionaries, glossaries, etc.) in that process. These ought not to be confused with transliteration which, in contrast, seeks to render the sound of one language into the script or form of another with no attendant interpretation or translation of meaning, e.g. a spoken Chinese dialect written using alphabetic characters or spoken English represented in a signed form of English, Signed Exact English, not ASL. In a legal context, such as court interpretation, where ramifications of misinterpretation may be dire, accuracy is paramount. Teams of two or more interpreters, with one actively interpreting and the second monitoring for greater accuracy, may be deployed. Translators have time to consider and revise each word and sentence before delivering their product to the client. While live interpretation's goal is to achieve total accuracy at all times, details of the original (source) speech can be missed and interpreters can ask for clarification from the speaker. In any language, including sign languages, when a word is used for which there is no exact match, expansion may be necessary in order to fully interpret the intended meaning of the word.

Why so Many Interpretations of the Bible..Which One is Right?? - Ravi Zacharias Answers
"Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails." - Proverbs 19:21 The Bible is an open book for everybody, and everybody has a fair shot of coming up with whatever they want to find in it. We've got to see the credentials of the teachers. Not only that, but we don’t want to rely on just one person’s opinion. That’s why when it comes to a biblical interpretation, I often counsel people to check as many sound sources as they can and then not just contemporary sources, but the great minds, the recognized minds of Christian history. It’s amazing to me the tremendous amount of agreement there is among Augustine, Aquinas, Anselm, Luther, Calvin, and Edwards—the recognized titans of church history. I always consult those because they’re the best. If you want to know something, go to the pros. RECEIVE JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR! Choosing to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you'll ever make FRIEND! God's Word promises, "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation..... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" -ROMANS.10:9--10,13. By His grace, God has already done everything to provide salvation. Your part is simply to believe and receive. Pray out loud,. Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Savior, I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me! The very moment you commit your life to Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word instantly comes to pass in your spirit. Now that you're born again, there's a brand-new you! "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away, behold all things have become new." - II CORINTHIANS 5:17 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" -EPHESIANS 2:8
Translation Equipment - PERFECT SERVICE - Hear It From Them!
Universe Language Solutions http://universelanguage.com provided two Fully-Encapsulated Interpretation Booths, and all necessary Simultaneous Translation Equipment, to support Simultaneous Interpretation of Japanese and Korean. This event was a little unusual because EVERYBODY there needed the Translation Service. In most cases, there people in the audience that speak English. But for this one, none of the attendees did. They only spoke Japanese and Korean. So since the presentations were being given in English, our audience needed the Translation Service. Now, if you look close as you watch the video, you can see many of the components that go into making Simultaneous Translation work. Of course, you can see the large Interpretation Booths. Two Japanese Interpreters are working in one and two Korean Interpreters are working in the other one. You can also see the sound system’s Mixing Board. This is what all the microphones in the room are connected to. Then, there is just one cable that connects from this mixing board to the electronics inside the booth. This is what feeds all the audio signals to the booth. So the end result is that the interpreters can hear every microphone. And it doesn’t matter who is speaking into which microphone… the interpreters can hear it all. This meeting went very well. At the end of the video, you’ll hear some nice comments from our audience. Of course, we always like happy customers! Now moving onto a different topic to wrap this up… We titled this video “Translation Equipment”, but that’s not really accurate. But this is why we titled it that way: The fact is, the general public doesn’t understand the difference between the words Translation and Interpretation. Most people think that the service being provided here is “Simultaneous Translation”. But it’s not. It’s technically called “Simultaneous Interpretation”. You see, “Translation” refers to the written word where “Interpretation” refers to the spoken word. Why make the distinction? Here’s why: Exact, literal translation can be done with written language because the Translator has time to think. They have time to come up with the most exact, meaningful “Translation” possible. But at a live event like you see here, the “Interpreters” don’t have time to think. They MUST keep up with the presentation. That’s why they use the term “Interpretation”. They say the most “More or Less” version of what they’re listening to that pops into their head moment by moment. So from now on, if/when you see or hear the phrase “Translation Equipment” what it really means is “Interpretation Equipment”. Make sense? Thought it would. If you like, you can reach Universe Language Solutions at: (770)650-0010 http://universelanguage.com We’d love to see your comments here. So feel free to tell us what you think. Plus, we invite you to subscribe to our Youtube Channel. We’re going to be posting interesting videos about all phases of Simultaneous Interpretation and a regular basis from now on. Oh… and BTW… If you enjoyed this video, a “LIKE” would be really cool!
LANGPROS - How Does Simultaneous Interpretation Work?
You may have seen interpreters on TV shows with foreign guests or at UN assemblies in the news. Have you ever imagined what their work is like? Well, it is an extremely challenging profession requiring a lot of training and experience. Ever wonder what are the differences between consecutive and simultaneous interpretation? Basically, in consecutive interpretation the speaker’s discourse alternates with the interpreter’s translation, with no need of any equipment. Instead, in simultaneous interpretation the speaker and the interpreter talk simultaneously, resulting in considerable time savings. This means that the interpreter listens to a speech and interprets it into a foreign language in real time. Simultaneous interpretation requires specific interpretation equipment, mainly a soundproof booth and headphones with a microphone for the interpreter and wireless receivers for the target audience. Since the human brain is not designed for listening and speaking at the same time, simultaneous interpreters must develop special neural pathways. They also need to prepare carefully before an event – for instance, if it is a convention on heart surgery, the interpreter will have to study the topic and related technical terminology. Moreover, they must keep up with the speed of the original speech and they must be able to work under pressure. Since this profession is highly demanding, interpreters always have to work in pairs and switch turns every 20 or 30 minutes. At Langpros we collaborate with the best simultaneous interpreters in the UAE and in the Gulf region. We are able to deal with events ranging from small business meetings to large international conferences from English or Arabic into over 100 languages and vice versa. We have made our name as a world leader not only in interpretation services but also in translation services. So if you are looking for a highly professional and friendly interpretation service for your next event, you just have to give us a call! Bizline - Ep34C03 Translation and interpretation technology evolves with ICT
Subscribe:http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=arirangtoday Thanks to a development in translation and interpretation technology, people can now talk to foreigners in real time even if they don't speak the languages. Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, or ETRI, has developed a real time automatic interpretation application 'Genie Talk' which recognizes voice and shows texts in a foreign language translated via the central server and communication. Genie Talk's automatic translation quality is the world's top level, more than 15% better than Google translation. Genie Talk is slated to add translation services for eight more languages, including Chinese, Russian and German, by the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Meanwhile, ETRI has also developed a multilanguage broadcasting service technology for multicultural families. Several foreigners watching the same TV can choose the language using the multilanguage service icon on TV screen. By putting on the ear phones connected to smartphones, they can listen to voices in their native language. Support for all the languages in the world will also be possible when a content is made in the future. We introduce you the translation and interpretation service evolving day by day with ICT technologies.

Interpretation Tips for Tour Guides - Interpreting Culture, the Environment, History and Heritage
PDF: Interpreting Tips for Guides - The TORE Method http://www.beabetterguide.com/interpreting-tips-for-guides-the-tore-method Interpretation tips for tour guides from Dr. Sam Ham, author of ‘Interpretation: Making a Difference on Purpose’ Explore the TORE method for interpreting culture, heritage and the natural world. Cultural, Environmental and Historical Interpretation is something that many guides do on a day to day basis. The curious thing is, not everyone has heard the term ‘interpretation' before! Well, for starters, we are not talking about interpretation between languages or other types of translation services. Those are a skill unto themselves - but not what we are talking about today. We mean the interpretation of culture, the environment and/or history, as done by a guide, educator or tour leader. In other words, think of interpretation as a communication strategy. It’s presenting your information in such a way that it resonates with your audience. National Park Rangers, naturalists, outdoor educators and guides working in eco-tourism, are much more likely to have been exposed to the term ‘interpretation’, but even if you have never heard of ‘interpreting’ before - there is a lot to learn from the people teaching in this space. In this video, we look at some interpretation tips for tour guides and share resources for helping you with your presentations on tour! PLUS, we’ve got a special guest in the video, Sarah Bassendale, one of the lead trainers from the Be a Better Guide Academy. The field of 'thematic interpretation' is an approach originally advocated by Professor William Lewis (University of Vermont) and subsequently developed by Professor Sam H. Ham from the University of Idaho. For this video, we reached out to Dr. Sam Ham in order to get the best advice we could on rocking our interpretive moments. We share some interpretation tips for tour guides, but also explore one of Dr. Ham’s central teachings, the T.O.R.E. model of thematic interpretation. This method is outlined in his recent book, ‘Interpretation: Making a Difference on Purpose’ which you can find on Amazon right here. We’ve also created a PDF Cheat Sheet of the TORE method, which you can use when working on your tours, interpretive moments or presentations. Feel free to grab a copy by clicking the link below. http://www.beabetterguide.com/interpreting-tips-for-guides-the-tore-method Dr. Sam Ham's Book, 'Interpretation: Making a Difference on Purpose': https://goo.gl/0OXQkU
