16 FAMOUS LOGOS WITH A HIDDEN MEANING (That We Never Even Noticed)

06:33
How to design a successful logo? How to build a famous brand for your business? Some of the most well-known logos in the world were purposefully designed to indicate something much more than simple beauty. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve, and color has meaning behind it. Adidas, Apple, BMW, Coca-Cola, Toyota… We see these famous brands everywhere but never consider what their logos exactly mean. Curious to know the secret? Watch the 16 famous logos with a hidden meaning you've never noticed. #logomeaning #logosecret # Hyundai 0:33 The letter ’Н’ symbolizes two people – a client and a representative of the company – shaking hands. Adidas 0:52 The current logo is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolizes a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges that all sportsmen have to overcome day after day. Apple 1:21 Rob Janoff, the designer who came up with the world-famous Apple company logo, explained his idea in one of his interviews. He bought a bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Vaio 1:58 The first two letters of the Vaio logo symbolize an analogue wave. The last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. Amazon 2:14 The orange arrow is similar to a smile because the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product you can imagine. Baskin Robbins 2:40 The pink-colored parts of the "BR" section make up the number 31, which is how many ice cream flavors Baskin Robbins used to famously sell. Toyota 2:56 The logo represents a stylized image of a needle eye with a thread passing through it. This is a hint at the company’s past – they used to produce weaving machines. Continental 3:28 Continental, a famous car tire producer, has a logo in which the first two letters depict a car wheel. Formula 1 3:41 If you look carefully at the white space between the letter ’F’ and the red stripes, you can see the number 1. Pinterest 3:59 On Pinterest, people collect images they like from across the Internet and ’pin’ them to their online boards. That’s why the image of a pin is hidden in the letter P. Beats 4:17 Beats, an audio equipment producer based in the USA, uses a logo in which the letter ’B’ looks like headphones on a person’s head. Toblerone 4:32 The famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, has a silhouette of a bear in its logo. That's because Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. BMW 4:55 The logo is simply a part of the Bavarian flag, the area of Germany where the company originated. LG 5:18 The logo is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to have human relations with their customers. Evernote 5:34 The corner of the elephant’s ear is folded over in a similar way how people fold the corner of a page to make notes. Coca-Cola 5:57 In the space between the letters ’O’ and ’L’, you can see the Danish flag. It’s purely a coincidence. Nevertheless, Coca-Cola has used this as part of its marketing campaigns in the Scandinavian country. If you’ve enjoyed this video, hit that thumbs up button! What makes a truly great logo

04:45
Here's how a simple mark ends up meaning something big as a great logo. Joe Posner, and Michael Bierut (designer of the Hillary Clinton logo) explain. For more from Michael Bierut on graphic design, check out his book "How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, cry, and (every once in a while) change the world": http://www.amazon.com/How-Michael-Bierut/dp/0062413902 Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO About once a month, there's a new logo to fight about on the internet. The biggest one in recent memory was the highly controversial Hillary Clinton logo, which did not escape scrutiny from Vox.com either. But as a designer/filmmaker, something about these repeated discussions struck me as missing the point on what makes logos tick. It often has little to do with the subjective musings. So I called up Michael Bierut, the designer of that Hillary Clinton logo and countless others. He sat down with me and helped explain the elements of a great logo in the video above. MasterCard Logo Change 2019 - Drops Name from Brandmark

03:45
MasterCard Logo Change 2019 MasterCard has dropped their name from their logo and taken a bold step forward with their branding, leaving just the two interlocking circles. Some are saying it is a step too far. Is this a good or a bad move by MasterCard? It has been successful for others like Nike and Apple, can they also join this elite group of symbol only brand marks and see positive results? In this video, I give my initial thoughts on the MasterCard logo change and a bit of advice for anyone else thinking of doing the same. Stay Creative! 15 MOST Luxurious Fashion Brands

11:15
From Oscar de la Renta to Chanel, here are some of the most lavish and prestigious fashion brands. Subscribe to Hindered Thoughts http://goo.gl/d3U3RP 6. Chanel The high fashion wear company was introduced to the world back in 1909 by none other than Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, otherwise known as “Coco Chanel.” This is where the brand gets its inspiration for the famously recognizable logo that is two interlocking C’s. The company specializes in creating haute couture for its wealthy clients but also for fashion models like Naomi Campbell, who once modeled for them, and actresses Marilyn Monroe, Keira Knightley, and Nicole Kidman. One of their most famous products is the perfume No. 5 de Chanel, along with the Chanel Suit. Today, Chanel is valued at being $6.8 billion dollars. An interesting fact to note is that Karl Lagerfeld, the creative director behind Fendi, happens to be the creative director for Chanel as well. 5. Prada Founded back in 1913 by Mario Prada, this fashion brand actually started out by manufacturing leather bags and trunks. It would then evolve into selling everything from clothing to perfume and even a brief stint of LG Prada cell phones. Though the brand may have broadened its inventory, it still spends the majority of its focus creating some of the world’s most exclusive handbags that only the rich and famous can possibly hope to afford. Mario Prada believed that women should not be involved in business so he excluded his own family members from getting involved. In a fantastic twist of irony, his son did not care to run the business so his daughter Luisa Prada took over as his successor and is now currently being run by her daughter Miuccia. 4. House of Versace The fashion empire that is the House of Versace all started with fashion designer Gianni Versace back in 1978. He created a brand that has been synonymous with elegance and simply oozes high fashion. His glamorous gowns have gone on to make a name for himself as a respected designer. Like the case of the famous black dress held with gold safety pins that actress Elizabeth Hurley wore back in 1994 to the premiere of Four Weddings and A Funeral. Sadly, Versace’s life was cut short in 1997 on the steps of his Miami mansion when he became the fifth and final victim of Andrew Cunanan. The tragic event will be the story behind American Crime Story’s season 2 titled: The Assassination of Gianni Versace. After his death, his sister Donatella became the new Artistic Director and has established a $5.5 billion company her brother would be proud of. 3. Gucci Started in 1921 by a Mr. Guccio Gucci, the company was originally dabbing in leather goods. It wasn’t until 19 years later when his son Aldo would take the company from being a one-stop shop into the fashion powerhouse that it’s now known for being. It’s Aldo that would usher in the era of the brand’s iconic “Bamboo Bag” and its “ready to wear segments.” In the 90’s, the company decided to bring American Fashion designer Tom Ford to revamp their women’s wear. He ended up helping launch the brand to where it is today. The fashion brand houses other well-known designers in its collections such as Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, and Yves Saint Laurent. If you’re in the market to do some shopping at this $12.4 billion brand, expect to spend at least $2,000. 2. Louis Vuitton This may come as a shock but the famous fashion brand has been around longer than you might have thought. Formed 163 years ago in 1854, a young man by the name of Louis Vuitton started out as an apprentice for a box-maker. Vuitton ended up becoming a well-known crafter of luxury trunks and opened up his own shop in Paris. He then ended up becoming the personal box-maker of Napoleon III’s wife, Empress Eugenie de Montijo. Fast forward years later and the company is now worth $28.1 billion with a generated revenue of $10.1 billion. Today, Louis Vuitton doesn’t make just trunks but designer handbags and clothing that can be spotted on the most famous of A-listers. 1. Balenciaga The beginning of Balenciaga’s reign began back in 1919 when it was established by its founder of the same name, Cristóbal Balenciaga. As a young child, Balenciaga became an apprentice to a tailor in his hometown of Getaria, Spain and would eventually get his formal training in Madrid. He would go on to create the House of Balenciaga and skyrocketed to success thanks to his artistic genius. He was hailed as the undisputed “ King of Fashion” and was highly respected among his peers which included the likes of Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, and Pierre Balmain. Balenciaga even helped train the likes of high-fashion designers Oscar de la Renta and Hubert Givenchy to name a few.

3 Terms You MUST know for Registering your Trademark

03:50
Here is the link to check your brand name availability in less than one minute - http://vakilsearch.com/trademark-search If you are applying for a trademark registration in India, then you must be aware of these terms, which your Trademark Lawyer might use. 1. Word Mark 2. Logo Mark 3. Logo Composite Mark WORD MARK: A word mark is a Trademark applied for a word. Typically, this word is your Brand Name. For example, AIRTEL is a brand name, McDONALDS is a brand name. LOGO MARK: A logo mark is a Trademark applied for a logo. A symbol or image through which customers identify your business is called a Logo and that can be protected through a Trademark. LOGO COMPOSITE MARK: A logo composite mark is a trademark applied for a Logo. It is different from the Logo Mark in the way that you can read the name of the brand from a Logo Composite Mark (but not from a logo mark). For example, you can read the brand names from the logos of Coca Cola, Nokia, Samsung, and Airtel. Such logos must be trademarked as a Logo Composite Mark. By the time they discover this they have invested too much time and energy in the brand to want to change it. In these competitive times it's important to learn how to avoid such mistakes. How to Get a Trademark for My Logo and Brand Name - Entertainment Law Asked & Answered

05:15
A web visitor wrote in: I have created a Logo with a generic phrase for my apparel company, with a design that indicates just what it means by utilizing a letter as part of the graphic. I would like to use this both nationally and internationally as soon as make sure that I secure the trademark for it how do I go about getting the trademark registered? He goes on to ask me to Suggest the proper or best business structure to maximize profit, minimize liability and protect my assets from taxes and judgements, so he will have the most latitude to operate his business on a global scale with minimal risks. Well, this is a great, and complex question. First off, a trademark is... A distinctive word, symbol, or phrase that's affixed to goods or services in commerce as an indicator to identify their source or origin. Trademarks are Brands... Just like the brands that used to be burned into the hides of cattle to identify the ranch they came from. You acquire trademark rights by actually using the mark in interstate commerce to sell goods or services. Trademarks protect only against others using the same or confusingly similar marks in the same class of goods and services. So, if you have a trademark for a particular brand of medical device, you probably can't prevent the same mark being used for a line of shoes, or as a title for a TV series... Now, because we are talking about what the person describes as a "generic phrase" it's probably not distinctive enough for trademark registration just by itself. But, the inclusion of a stylized letter and distinctive design might make it registrable as a logo design. Now, the process isn't that hard. Nowadays, we do the applications online, and it's a step by step process. But it can be tricky because how you complete the application can have a big impact on whether or not the application gets approved. You might, for example, need to disclaim certain aspects of the mark, like the generic phrase in our readers’ situation. Or, selecting the right kinds of specimens of use to ensure maximum coverage and protection. It's also possible to go too narrow or too broad in the description of goods and services and risk being underwrote the, or possibly losing your mark later if you're discovers to have overstated the scope of your use of the mark. The best way to ensure your trademark gets registered, and you get all the benefits and protections, is to have a lawyer prepare the application for you. Those of us who do this a lot have learned about all the problem areas, and have a handle on the best practices to get things done right. My experience is that folks who do it themselves have their applications rejected more often, and then, unfortunately have to hire me to fix the problems they encounter. That usually costs as much or more than they'd have paid me to do the registration in the first place. Your trademarks, your brands, may someday be the most valuable assets your business owns. So, it makes sense to invest a little bit now to protect them, when doing so is relatively easy. Rather than paying a lot to clean up messes later. --- So, what's the proper or best business structure to maximize profit, minimize liability and protect assets from taxes and judgements? Well, there are several kinds of legal structures that can help on this. The most common, and most established is the corporation, which provides insulation from liability for shareholders. But corporations come with some administrative hoops you need to jump through, and they have to pay taxes separately, so income can sometimes be taxed twice. Sub chapter S corporations are for small, closely held companies, like family owned enterprises, and similar, where there are a small handful of shareholders... These corporations can be taxed like a partnership, where profits pass through directly to shareholders, so that double taxation doesn't happen. But these corporations also have the administrative hoops I mentioned before. An LLC offers most of the advantages of corporations, but can be taxed as a pass through entity, and don't have the same administrative hoops, but they’re not as well established forms of entities, and can have other tricky aspects. The bottom line is, I just can't give a general answer here. Every business is different, so you need to consult with an experienced business attorney (like me) who can help evaluate the situation and advise you accordingly. Getting this stuff right is important, and it's always best to handle these things as you're starting up, so you don't wind up having to backtrack, or unwind transactions later on when your structure changes. Invest a bit now, so you don't overspend on fixes later. And that’s going to do it for this video… If you have a question you'd like to see here on Asked and Answered, just visit http://firemark.com/questions and let me know. See you next time!

How to file and register a trademark WITHOUT a lawyer!!!

25:29
http://vondranlegal.com/zip-counsel-affordable-trademark-legal-services/ YES YOU CAN SHARE THIS VIDEO ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKS. MAKE SURE TO SUBSCRIBE TO OUR POPULAR CHANNEL! WE ARE ALMOST AT 10,000 SUBSCRIBERS!! Attorney Steve® does it again, this time with a helpful video for startup companies and individuals looking to register a federal trademark but who may not have the money to hire an intellectual property or trademark lawyer. This video is general legal information only and NOT legal advice or a substitute for legal advice. Trademark registration can be MUCH MORE COMPLEX than highlighted in this video. It is important to always do a thorough trademark search BEFORE applying for a trademark through the USPTO. Once you file, you cannot get your money back. So make sure there is no one else using your trademark before you apply. You can do this by searching the internet. Search for domain registrations that may be similar. Search on Google. You can Thomson Thomson to run a detailed paid search. You should also try to pick "arbitrary and fanciful" names as opposed to suggestive and descriptive terms. In other words "Nike" or "Xerox" are better names than "Sports Shoes Company" or "Copy Paper Inc." Be creative - think out of the box. Also, keep in mind there are many different things you can get a trademark (for goods) or service mark (for services) for. Examples are: 1. Your company logo 2. A slogan you use in your business 3. Nicknames (ex. "Johnny Football") 4. Your business name These are just a few of the common examples. At any rate, this video should help you understand what lawyers do when filing a trademark. This is the same process companies like LegalZoom do. So in short YOU CAN DO IT without a lawyer if you take time to read the screens, and watch some of their helpful videos the USPTO offers. If you need help and are willing to pay a LOW FLAT RATE FEE - we can help you. We can also help with the following: 1. Trademark name searches (we can help you pick a good mark to build your brand on) 2. Registering trademarks and service marks 3. Responding to office action letters (refusals or denials) from the trademark examiner 4. Cease and desist letters 5. Trademark arbitration, mediation, litigation 6. Domain name disputes For more information, call us at (877) 276-5084 or click on the link at the top of this page to go to our corporate homepage. As we like to say - we are The First Name In Legal Services" Hope you enjoyed this video!! Check out our others. Keep in mind there are RISKS associated with filing your own trademark with the USPTO (such as having to respond to an office action letter, or having your trademark denied when a good search would have prevented the filing), but many people are finding that filing a trademark application (for example to start your own clothing line, or a name of a band, or product name) is not as mysterious as people once thought. ATTORNEY STEVE TIP: Make sure you SEARCH your mark BEFORE you buy a domain name, engage in advertising, name your product etc. There is nothing worse than picking a name that some other company already has or which is "confusingly similar" to their name, This means your trademark will not register. This is the biggest risk of filing for your own trademark. Sometimes it is worth the money to just pay trademark counsel to search and file for your corporate trademark. We can do slogans, logos, and company names. _______________ PLEASE SUPPORT US ON PATREON - OUR GOAL IS TO BE THE LEADING PROVIDER OF LEGAL NEWS AND INFORMATION BUT WE THERE IS NO WAY WE CAN DO IT WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT. How to apply for a Trademark Registration in India ?

02:58
Trademark Registration: All You Need to Know We’ve all walked into these stores to buy shoes or clothes and seen brands like Adibas for Adidas, Allen Polly instead of Allen Solly or my favourite Beta instead of Bata. These things are a violation of #trademark, and can be sued. Here is everything you need to know about trademark. Now, what is a trademark? A trademark is practically anything that your customers - or potential customers - connect with. For young companies, this usually means a brand name, logo or slogan, or all three at the same time. Sometimes, your logo contains your name, as in the case of BMW or Coca Cola. This is called a logo composite mark. What does it mean to own a trademark? It means that you control the commercial rights to the brand name, logo or slogan in that sector. Each sector is known as a class. There are 45 classes in all. For example, Class 28 relates to games, toys and sports equipment. So when you trademark your toy brand under Class 28, nobody else in your field of business can use the same/similar name. Is my trademark available? --------------------------------------- Our team can check on whether your name is available or not. A good way to check is to see if the domain name is available. If it is, then the brand name is likely to be available as well. If not, worry not - there is still a high probability of your application being approved if your business model and business type is unique. My trademark is taken. Now what? -------------------------------------------------- If the name you want has been taken, you could file a logo composite mark, which incorporates the name of the brand into the logo (As discussed, Coca-Cola or BMW, for example). This will help you to get protection even if the name itself has been taken. What is the procedure to get a Trademark Registration? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A team of experts prepares the documents and sends them to you for signature, including an “Authorization Letter”. Once we receive the signed documents, we will send you details of the final application for your approval. On approval, we file within 24 hours and send you the filed Application. You can start using the “TM” symbol next to your name. How long will the #process of Trademark #Registration take? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The initial application is done very quickly, and can be done in a few hours of you approving. As an outer limit, we can finish the application in 2 business days. It takes the Trademark Registry 18 - 24 months to grant you the Trademark once the application is made. Once that is granted, you can start using the “R” next to your name. To know more, log on to : http://vakilsearch.com/trademark-registration

How to Add Your Own Logo or Watermark to a Video

08:17
Learn how to add your own logo or watermark in your video! Try Filmora Free: http://bit.ly/2gYlQ5n You can easily brand your videos by adding a watermark or logo to it. In this video, Jeff will show you how to add a watermark to your video using Filmora. One important thing to have is an image or animated logo with a transparent background. Prepare your image or logo using an image editing software such as Photoshop or something as simple as Paint. It's important to have your image format to be PNG to keep the transparency when you add it on top of your video. For animated logo, you can use the green screen feature in Filmora to remove the color around the logo and make it transparent. Add the watermark to Filmora, drag your logo picture to the PIP (picture-in picture) layer. You can then resize and reposition your logo watermark in your video. See Step-by-Step instructions below: How to Add a PNG Watermark 1. Create a PNG file of your watermark. If your watermark is not already a PNG file, open it in any program (Jeff uses paint) and resave it in the PNG format. The reason you want a PNG instead of a JPEG or any other image file is because PNG will give you a transparent background. 2. Import your watermark into your Filmora project. Go to Media and click Import, then Import Media Files. Find your PNG watermark using the file browser that opens. 3. Click on your watermark’s thumbnail and drag it down to your PIP (picture in picture) track. Do not click the plus sign on your watermark’s thumbnail to add it to your project because it will be automatically added to your video track instead of your PIP track. The PIP track is right below the video track. 4. Resize your watermark in the preview window. The watermark will be surrounded by a yellow boarder and white circles, so long as you have it selected in the timeline. Use the white circles in the corners of your watermark to shrink it down. If you use the circles which are not in the corners your image will become distorted. 5. Place your watermark somewhere in the lower third of your preview window. Usually, it will go in one of the corners. Jeff places his in the bottom left corner, but watermarks are usually placed in the bottom right. 6. In your timeline, drag the edge of your watermark so that it spans your entire video. Hover over the back edge of your watermark and your cursor will change into a tool you can use to stretch it. Jeff finds it convenient to resize his timeline so that he can see his entire video at once. How to Add an Animated Watermark Before you start, you will need to have an animated logo. You can get your logo animated at a site like Flixpress.com. 1. Import your animated logo into Filmora. 2. Drag your logo into the PIP (picture in picture) track of your timeline. If you need to adjust the size and placement of your watermark, do so. 3. With your watermark selected in your PIP track, click on the green screen icon (it is the one the farthest to the right above your timeline. Hover over it and the label Green Screen will appear). You can also find the green screen feature through the advanced editing window. 4. In the window that opens, check the box next to where it says ‘Make parts of this clip transparent’. This should make your background color transparent but, if it doesn’t, hover over the preview window and click on your background. 5. If there is still some background in your video, turn up the intensity until it is gone. 6. You will not be able to adjust the length of your animation by dragging its edge, like you would with a still image. Instead, copy and paste your watermark to have it appear and disappear a few times throughout your video. Other Useful Resources: FlixPress.com IntroMAker.net IntroChamp.com

Importance of a CREATIVE Logo

03:50
http://www.vividesigngroup.com/ | Do you want people to assume that your business is boring, bland, or unimaginative? Is it OK if your business prospects think that your work is amateurish or low quality? What people SEE is what they CONCLUDE! Today, we are going to talk about how important it is to have a CREATIVE Brand Mark Hello I am Dennis Hogan, Creative Director for Vividesign Group. I have personally designed well over 100 logos or brand marks in my career. 20 of these have become Nationally award winning Logos from organizations like American Corporate Identity. I want to share with you principles that have helped me design Logo that GET Noticed! These same principles will Guide you to be a better Consumer of your corporate identity brand. If you KNOW what makes the MOST effective logo, you can help guide your designer to create the VERY best logo for your organization People make immediate decisions about people and things, like your businesses, based upon their FIRST IMPRESSIONS. If the first thing that they see about your business is collateral material with a logo that is well...Boring, bland or unimaginative, amateurish, low quality....You get the picture. They will conclude THAT is the nature of your business. Those are not the qualities that you want associated with your organization...Regardless of what industry you are in. So many businesses, especially small and start-up companies put very little thought into the identity of their business. And so "OBVIOUS" becomes the operative word. The name is an obvious choice (Bob's Plumbing company for instance)...And the logo is done by a non- professional and IT too is OBVIOUS! "OBVIOUS" is easy. "OBVIOUS" is quick. But also "OBVIOUS" is NOT IMPACTFUL! "OBVIOUS" is NOT MEMORABLE! "OBVIOUS" does NOT portray ingenuity or UNIQUNESS! One of the key characteristics of a trademark is to distinguish YOUR business from all other companies. An obvious name and logo will give the implication that your company is NO DIFFERENT than any other business! What do I mean by an "OBVIOUS" logo"? For instance an initial mark that uses plain uninteresting letters with no distinctiveness. Or a symbols of a logo that appears to use clipart or a generic little picture that looks like everything else. Don't fall into the trap of obvious or generic! If you already have a logo that is lacking creativity its never too late to look IMPRESSIVE instead of ORDINARY! Your clients don't want ordinary service or ordinary products...So don't tell them...by first impression...through your logo...That Ordinary is what you offer! Fist Impressions are Everything! Your potential clients are drawing conclusions about you every day. You can at least partially control their perceptions by making your company image Bold, Simplistic and stylish! If you are looking to have a new logo designed make sure your logo designer understands the principles of what makes a powerful Logo. If you are looking for a logo designer, Give US a Call at VIVIDESIGN Group. We would love to unleash our creativity on your project. Have an AWESOME Day everyone!
